Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Niocs, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Speedy deletion nomination of Nima Owji

[edit]

Hello Niocs,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nima Owji for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Please do not introduce inappropriate pages, such as Category:Nima Owji, to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on NioNotes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cahk (talk) 07:33, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS 30900 and unblock discussion

[edit]

https://utrs-beta.wmflabs.org/appeal/30900 is now closed. Response carried over:

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you. I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons.

You are block for sockpuppetry. Also, as the message on your talk page says, creating autobiographies is a poor idea. I'll leave more information on your talk page.

Please read Wikipedia's Guide to appealing blocks for more information, especially the part about sock puppetry. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Guide_to_appealing_blocks)

As you still have access to your talk page, and as there is no private information associated with your appeal, please post your unblock request to your user talk page for administrator review. Place the following at the bottom of your talk page, filling in "Your reason here "

 {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Addendum It looks like this is a checkuser block.. Administrators must not undo nor loosen any block that is specifically called a "CheckUser block" without first consulting a CheckUser. Please see the pertinent part of the WP:GAB.
Looks like you've gone to a lt of trouble to promote yourself. You will not be unblocked to write about yourself or NioNotes. Please describe what constructive eits you would make. As Ponyo says above, "Please don't continue to use Wikipedia to write about yourself. See WP:AUTO and WP:NOTYOU".
Please tell us what accounts you have edited with or who have edited for you. Thanks, --Deep fried okra (schalte ein) 15:38, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deepfriedokra: I don't think this is a {{checkuserblock}}, just a block made by a checkuser. I often block accounts for obvious socking as a regular admin action, only using the "checkuserblock" template when there is pertinent technical evidence involved that can't be reviewed by non-checksusers. Not that it really matters in this case, because I doubt anyone is going to unblock an editor who is using Wikipedia solely to promote themselves.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 15:59, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Don't unblock my page but please unrestrict my name on Wikipedia. Because I didn't know about autobiographies are now allowed and I am just 14. I may be a celebrity in the future and with this creation restriction, no one can create a page for me in the future. I promise I won't create an autobiography again. I promise. Please unrestrict my name.

Decline reason:

No. If you happen to become a celebrity in the future we'll deal with the article's protection. And don't create any more accounts. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 16:52, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

So I am famous. I am one of the youngest directors. Why did you protected my name? Just for one person request? In wikipedia is many articles. If autobiography is not allowed why did you create an option for it? When I wanted to create my page there is a radiobutton for "I am writing about myself"? Niocs (talk) 16:56, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Draft now deleted and protected, too. Next step is to put your name on the blacklist so that nobody can ever put your name in an article on English Wikipedia. Please consider that before you evade your block to engage in self-promotion again. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 17:16, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
