Speedy deletion nomination of Renaissance 2011 BITS Pilani
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Renaissance 2011 BITS Pilani, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. BurtAlert (talk) 04:28, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
- Even after putting the hold on template and putting in a line in Talk section to explain the matter as advised, the page was deleted in less than five minutes. I now have no way of getting it back. Why am I getting the feeling that wikipedia is getting taken over by destructive people? Nikhilsheth (talk) 17:18, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Wanted: permalink extractor
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
does anybody know how to extract the permalink of the latest revision of a wikipedia article?
Request for a tool to any developer out there: Please create a tool that if I enter a list of titles (all of which are wikipedia articles) - separated by comma or line whatever you wish, it returns a list of permalinks of all the articles!
Example: If input is: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam
Then the output should be:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Andhra_Pradesh&oldid=421762178, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Arunachal_Pradesh&oldid=421047209, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Assam&oldid=421372952
Or maybe just:
Andhra Pradesh 421762178, Arunachal Pradesh 421047209, Assam 421372952
Or something of the sort! We need this for article selection for offline wikipedia for schools project! Thanks in advance! Nikhilsheth (talk) 12:43, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
