[edit]Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Korea under Japanese rule. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Zanhe (talk) 21:47, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Zanhe:, the previous wording was not linking to a dead link, but also is inconsistent with the main article about the Sōshi-kaimei, which clearly states the new ordinance allowed Korean citizens to adopt Japanese surnames, backing the claim with proper sources. The fix was intended to address the strong claim which was lacking the appropriate justification, and rather replace it with the most neutral fallback available (i.e. the corresponding Wikipedia article). It is not a personal analysis. I will submit my change again with some wording change. Feel free to revert it if you have any credible source you can back the initial claim with.
