If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Adam Lindemann requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://kentpresents.org/presenters/adam-lindemann.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Editing Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Unfortunately, there are some problems with this account name. First, thank you for registering an account - this is a good decision in order to have your activity authenticated and traceable. However, Wikipedia doesn't allow accounts that sound like they belong to a company or a department, only ones that belong to specific people - so ‘NicolaSmith@Prenticecultural’ would be fine, ‘Prenticecultural’ isn't. So it would be good to rename the account, perhaps to something specific to whoever is going to use it; you may find that this account is locked until this is completed.

In addition, please appreciate that all edits must be strictly factual and not anything that could be considered promotional, and backed up by reliable sources that demonstrate them to be true. You may want to request edits in order to allow other experienced editors to give feedback on your suggestions. Please also remember that almost all edits to Wikipedia are public and on-the-record, and may be examined by journalists wishing to examine the work done by your organisation, so please ensure that if you are editing as a representative of your organisation you have been authorised to do so.

Below this I've put an explanation of the rules of editing Wikipedia for topics like your organisation or companies you represent. All the best, any questions just let me know and I'll try to help. Blythwood (talk) 00:34, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Prenticecultural. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

Status and Advice

[edit]
As reviewing administrator, I deleted the article. There are three problems
  1. Copyright. We can not use it here without a full free CC-BY-SA license under the formalities of WP:DCM, which irrevocably permits not just, but anyone in the world for using , modify, and distributing it for any purpose, even commercial. This can me done either by sending us a license and described there, or by indicating this on the site itself.
  2. But that is not advised, for material on a website is usually written in a promotional manner, and is generally not suitable for an encyclopedia. Such is the case here. It would need to present the bio and career in an encyclopedic manner, without using adjective of praise or statements of how important his work is. Every statement must be referenced by a third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements. Wikipedia is not a place for promotion of his work.
  3. It is not clear that he is notable by our standards at WP:CREATIVE or WP:ANYBIO That his books or best-sellers needs to be proven, because they are in few libraries according to WorldCat. That his record won a grammy needs to be proven. That he made record sales needs to be proven.
  4. It appears very likely that you have a conflict of interest with him and his galleries. If so ,you must describe it--the rules have already been explained above--they are part of our Terms of Use, (see also:paid contributions without disclosure) and are therefore not optional.
