National varieties of English
[edit]Hello. In a recent edit to the page Hanau, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Favonian (talk) 18:51, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
not sure why I was blocked or what I did, haven't been on this account for like 1 year......apparently I'm a sockpuppet for Dino245 even though I have no clue who that is or what evidence remotely connects me with a random person but okay. I've made like only 10 edits but apparently, I did something so godforsakenly terrible that I deserve to get permanently banned :P I honestly didn't do anything, I don't use wikiapedia NicolasThe"Helper" (talk) 04:30, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You don't seem very interested in being unblocked, and say that you don't use Wikipedia, so there is no need to remove the block. 331dot (talk) 08:13, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Well, I ran a check on Dino245 a year ago, and he lived somewhere different than you. What's up with your first edit, though? It was to Sock puppet account, which seems a bit odd for an account that's been blocked by a CheckUser. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:42, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
Firstly, you know where I live? Secondly, it was because I had found out somthing about what a sockpuppet was on Discord and I wanted to share my perspective on it or somthin. Weird coincidence. NicolasThe"Helper" (talk) 07:43, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
I honestly have no clue how any of this works and I am wayyy to tired to care NicolasThe"Helper" (talk) 07:43, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
So, I filed a unblock request on my talk page but apparently I "don't seem interested" and I also said I don't use Wikipedia that much. I planned to use Wikipedia and help the community (hence my name) since I was bored in the quarantine but I was blocked for being a sockpuppet Dino245, someone I don't know or even live near. Although I went through the unblocking process, they decided to keep me blocked for no reason other than the fact I said I don't use the website that much (I planned too). I guess because my first edit was for sockpuppets (I had learned something on Discord and wanted to share) that's suspicious??? I'm actually quite angry because I wanted to add some new stuff to a cool article I found, and I wanna be a good editor. Please unblock me, I wanna become a grand editor one day......I had only made like 10 edits so I don't know how I got permanently blocked.....I just wanna come back to Wikipedia..... I think they IP blocked me too.....I understand I didn't seem like I cared, I was tired...NicolasThe"Helper" (talk) 17:11, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

I've changed your block so that anyone can unblock you once you show that you're here to edit constructively. That's all I'm willing to do at the present. To be unblocked, simply follow the instructions that I left below. Accounts can not be deleted, so if you don't want to edit, you can just stop. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 21:29, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

- Well you said you don't use Wikipedia, which is why 331 replied that you don't seem interested. If you don't intend to edit, there is no point to unblock you. However, if you intend to edit, I suggest you say exactly what article you want to edit, and show an example of an edit you'd make. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 03:45, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- @CaptainEek and NinjaRobotPirate: I went back and checked what was used to connect the two users at the time and it's a very large and busy mobile range that I don't have faith in the results that came out. I suspect the user was blocked for being NOTNEW and on that range. I'll leave the unblock in your hands. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 09:24, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- When blocking people, I try to leave behind a trail of evidence when possible, but some of my blocks are inscrutable. I recently blocked some sock puppets of Rrtttq (talk · contribs) based on evidence from Spanish Wikipedia. Well, in my opinion, Nicolas looks like a little kid who's here to screw around rather than to help. For example, this edit and this edit. So, here's what I propose: post an encyclopedic edit that you want to make. It should cite a reliable source and make a credible improvement to an article. In this edit, I completely rewrote an article. You obviously don't have to go that far, but take a look at how I researched the topic, found sources, and rewrite the article to reflect what they say. That is what helpful Wikipedians are supposed to be doing. Not removing letters from words. So, show me what you'd do if you were unblocked by posting an example edit here on your talk page. - whats funny is i actually started this account to get enough edits to delete the entirety of the suicide page because i thought it would stop people from learning how to kill themselves...very smart, i know. NicolasThe"Helper" (talk) 04:14, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
