Irrelevant material

[edit]

I had removed the "Family Tree" section from your Z-Star article, because such information is irrelevant. It is one thing to list a brief biography of an artist (so and so was born in Gotham City to Jack and Jill Jones. She attended This-or-that school, graduating with a degree in something or other). However, listing all of a person's famous (or semi-famous or presumed famous) relatives looks like an attempt to bolster the person's own notability by association to those famous (or otherwise) people. However, a person needs to be notable in their own right in order to have a Wikipedia article; their relation to other people is only relevant insofar as that relationship has affected their life or career. Since your article makes no mention of such an effect, there is no point in bring them up. I will remove the section again; please do not add it again without a good reason to do so. The article Z-Star has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
