- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Reliable sources.
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your efforts to add references. However, some of your additions did not seem to be reliable. Blogs are not considered reliable. Commercial websites (web sites intended primarily to sell product or services) are generally not reliable. The policy is violated all the time, but prior bad practice does not justify new bad practice. Happy editing. Constant314 (talk) 21:42, 4 April 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to Kathy Bates have been removed because you cited the information you added to IMDb. As discussed at WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is considered a questionable source, and generally should not be used as a sole reference. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reliable source, or with an additional source confirming the information from IMDb. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 19:01, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
