Image copyright problem with Image:Yates2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Yates2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

It is important to keep a cool head, despite any comments against you. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and action can be taken against the other parties if necessary. Your involvement in attacking back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors, and lead to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! To address your concern, I didn't maliciously blank the page. I think my browswer accidentally cut it off. I'll try to be more careful in the future to ensure it doesn't happen. Ardenn 20:33, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Amandasdghj.jpg)
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Amandasdghj.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Genidealingwithfairuse 15:58, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Morganpr.jpg
This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Morganpr.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cholmes75 15:31, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Morgandrivevid.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Morgandrivevid.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cholmes75 00:25, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please read the licensing tag information, as it states "for identification of and critical commentary on the software in question." You linked the image to an article that has nothing to do with the software, therefore fair use does not apply. --cholmes75 00:32, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Usage on the Windows Media Player article is fine, usage on the Morgan Pressel article is not. If it is removed from that article I will be happy to remove the deletion tag. --cholmes75 00:41, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

- Here's the deal. Since it is actaully fair use of copyright, and all atheletes who appear on sports illustrated covers are allowed to have a fair use image of the magazine on their bio page, then from that precident I will keep the Screen shot on Morgan's bio page in lieu of a non-copyrighted image. --Nick Dillinger 00:44, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
PKD catgorisation
Hi, thanks for your editing of the Vulcan's Hammer article. I noticed it was put into a list of short PKD stories. It should be in a list of his novels, where did this list of short stories come from? Its different to the list on the main Phillip K Dick article? Alastairward 09:51, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Please do not manually move pages (or tag ones that have been for speedy deletion). Instead, use the move tab, as this preserves the page history (needed for licensing reasons). I'm now going to perform a history merge... Petros471 17:22, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Fair use images
Please don't revert back the images at Pinocchio (1940 film) and Alice in Wonderland (1951 film). I am sorry, but these images are not allowed like that. See also talk:Pinocchio (1940 film). Btw, when you reverted alice in wonderland, you also removed other changes I made to the article. Garion96 (talk) 11:33, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
