Shalor- I would like to extend a very heartfelt and sincere apology for violating the sanctity of wikipedia. I failed to fully understand the gravity of my actions. I apologize to you and your community. I certainly did not mean to disrespect anyone involved in wikipedia- nor did I intend to besmirch the great Robert Cornelius. I can see how the statement " “Despite being a revolutionary photographer, his image will forever be marred by indecent exposure.” can be taken out of context. I can assure you that I did not foresee the possibility that such a statement might imply Robert Cornelius, AKA Bobby Cornball (that was his colloquial nickname according to certain websites), committed a lewd and lascivious act. If I had, I would most definitely have rephrased the statement. I did not mean any disrespect whatsoever. My instructor has made me see the error of my ways. My actions were my own- and they're something I will carry to my grave. Monumental mistakes in life can be mended (to a degree) if the perpetrator takes responsibility for their actions, apologizes and attempts to make a better life for the victims and themselves. If that girl who shot Joey Buttafucco's wife in the face can walk the streets then maybe, Lord willing, I can be a valuable member of the wikipedia community someday. I apologize to Sholar, Ian, wikipedia CEO Jimmy Wales, Robert Cornelius, my instructor and any fellow scholars studying "selfies."

Hoping for your forgiveness, Nick

Hi Nick. User:Shalor (Wiki Ed) is the Wikipedia expert assigned to your course. Please get in touch with her for assistance.

If you don't believe that you will be able to abide by Wikipedia's rules, I recommend that you contact your instructor and ask for an alternate assignment. Doing the kinds of things you mentioned on my talk page will probably get you blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:18, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I echo what Ian said. If you genuinely don't think that you can be trusted to edit Wikipedia, then you need to speak with your professor and ask for an alternate assignment. At the same time, we can definitely work with you on editing and all of the Wikitext markup language to make it less confusing. What concerns me most is that you fully believe that you will use the account to vandalize Wikipedia. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:18, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nahhhhhhh it's okay... I suppose that any wikipedia article is essentially supported by a litany of facts/evidence/research/studies/etc. If I can find enough credible articles to categorically and unequivocally prove that my neighbor, Butch Leroux, is a reptilian member of the illuminati that conspired to fix WWF wrestling matches in 1995, well, I think that wikipedia is a great outlet for this sort of thing. The man needs to be exposed. I promise not to include anything slanderous or salacious and everything I do in the future will adhere to the ethics of wikipedia (even though Butch Leroux has no ethics)... I will beat him fairly and squarely and once and for all. I reserve you guys the right to make final edit on any of my posts. I, however, will have ultimate edit which supersedes final edit.

Look forward to working with you Shalor, Nick

FURTHERMORE- I will not address the reptilian, illuminati, WWF conspirator Bruce Leroux until the conclusion of this class, and, can fully handle the responsibilities of focusing on coursework until the conclusion of the semester. Thanks Shalor, Nick

Welcome!
