WJHL

[edit]

That maybe, but the user was also adding other information to the WJHL page and then removing it almost immediately. Like switching "Ken Hawkins" to "Kenny Hawkins" and back to "Ken Hawkins", hence the user being reported to WP:AIV. - SVRTVDude (VT) 08:17, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WJHL Schedule

[edit]

Hello, I checked on TitanTV, Zap2It, MeeVee, and BackChannel Media and they all say that WJHL's morning show is from 5a to 9a, which is weird for a small market station to run that long of a morning show. I reverted, but if it is actually a goof-up and it is only from 5a to 7a, I will gladly change it back. Take Care...NeutralHomer T:C 08:10, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, my mistake. Being that I am up in the northern part of Virginia, I couldn't check on-the-air, I had to rely on the online TV Listings. Weird that even the ones on the WJHL website were wrong too. Again, my apologizes on reverting to wrong information. - NeutralHomer T:C 03:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for keeping up with the vandalism on the WJHL-TV page. I do greatly appericate it. Take Care...NeutralHomer T:C 03:35, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WCYB

[edit]

Is there anyway you can get a screenshot (even if it is with a camera) of the WCYB open so I can make sure they have stopped using "To the Point" in their open. Just to make sure :) Thanks....NeutralHomer T:C 00:03, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Even better, you can watch newscasts online at http://www.wcyb.tv, just click on the webcast button in the right column and click to view archives. The one that I saw it on was the Sunday 6:00 PM newscast. Nicholasm79 05:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot they had their newscasts online. I will check them out here in a couple. - NeutralHomer T:C 05:20, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just checked and you were right. The YouTube video must have been made right before they dropped "To the Point". Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 05:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Infoboxes

[edit]

I am just trying to improve the infoboxes for TV stations. What's wrong with having transmitter coordinates and ERP/HAAT in the infoboxes? New World Man (talk) 01:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transmitter coordinates

[edit]

But what about that small minority of people who would like to pull up a topo map or an aerial photo of the tower used by the station(s) they are interested in? New World Man (talk) 00:56, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BenH

[edit]

Oh yeah, it's definitely BenH. And based on his IP, he's from your neck of the woods--Bristol, to be exact. All edits undone or rolled back, and he's been softblocked three months in order to smoke him out. Blueboy96 12:33, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DMA Lists

[edit]

The templates were remade without Nielsen information (because Nielsen had a DMCA hissy-fit) and redone in a different style from last time. Once I redid them, I readded them. There has been ALOT of talk about this on WT:TVS among other places. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk 04:47, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Price is Right

[edit]

Are you talking about Daniel Benfield? Sottolacqua (talk) 01:59, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He also marks edits minor when they aren't. Warn him if you feel he is adding nonsense or cruft. Sottolacqua (talk) 02:19, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Airing Personal Issues

[edit]

Just a note, this page is not for airing grievances and/or personal issues with my editing content. That is not appropriate or germane to this website. Thank you. Nicholasm79 (talk) 00:23, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Explanation

[edit]

Well, I can promise you that I do not always do that sort of thing. I'm sure you all know that I'm being real helpful with some things on here such as fixing typos or things like that. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 15:18, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Episode status

[edit]

My friend, I know I didn't re add what I'd added before, but you're thinking too early. The shows have not yet left the schedule. I thought on episode statuses that we'd normally add "at various times" as soon as a show leaves the schedule. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 19:33, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that I'd press enter a little too early in the article when giving a description. I was about to say what I'd mentioned above. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 19:40, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And so that you don't get confused, I'd kept ONLY the times in the Card Sharks article, as it too is still on along with Child's Play. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 20:51, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But didn't add back you-know-what. By the way, I'd explained to Wheeler0152 of the situation in which you now like for users to say in the episode statuses "at various times" or "in the past". I guess he probably was not aware of this, but I told him. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 21:10, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think I've found your point

[edit]

I think I've now just found your point on what can be okay spot of updates in which a show would be gone or returning: the Recent Changes section in the Game Show Network article. Something I've just noticed in which someone has the information on there. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 23:17, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour

[edit]

Excuse me, my friend, but can't I EVER re-word things sometime? I know I saw your description in the history section, but if you could just give me an explanation of this I would really appreciate it. Your friend --99.158.136.26 (talk) 04:19, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: I guess from the time of the Episode Status issue in the Child's Play article you'd realized your mistake. Maybe my description got you a little confused as to what I was doing or something like that. --99.158.136.26 (talk) 04:34, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TPiR Pitchfilm

[edit]

Hi, there. Listen, I noticed that you were discussing something regarding my edits (don't ask me how, it's not illegal) and noticed that you and Sottolacqua removed my edits to said pitchfilm since "the parent-child concept is not mentioned in the pitchfilm."

Actually, it is. Mark Goodson mentions an idea where a number of children bid on various items and the one closest without going over won it for their parent(s); the one who got the most items received a bonus prize.

Just thought I'd explain that. Daniel Benfield (talk) 20:25, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Before you start deleting links on the fly - this is not a SPAM link but part of a site that contains a vast collection of television production music. I will be more than happy to provide his e-mail address and name to you if you like. He also pays royalties to BMI when the music is played off the website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.176.6.8 (talk) 12:46, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pass The Buck and YouTube

[edit]

I just want to thank you for setting me straight on the links to video clips on YouTube, Nick. Won't happen again, unless the poster is the company or rights holder (such as CBS or "Weird Al" Yankovic, both of which have userpages). Daniel Benfield (talk) 18:34, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WCYB edit

[edit]

While I did not provide a rationale for removing the infobox on the WCYB page, I do have a reason. WCYB is not a Tennessee NBC affiliate. It is located in Virginia. While it does serve a large audience in the state of Tennessee, it is still a Virginia station. NBC does not list it as a Tennessee station either. jhb 10s (talk) 15:07, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed WCYB Edit

[edit]

I agree with you Nicholasm.. WCYB is an NBC station in Tennessee. It always has been. I used to work there. Even though the studio is located about 100 feet inside Virginia from the state line, we considered ourselves both a NBC Tennessee and an NBC Virginia station, and so did the network. "Tri-Cities" is considered Tennessee. Even owner Bonten Media lists their station as "WCYB, Tri-Cities, Tennessee-Virginia." (Visit this link: http://www.bontenmedia.com/pages/2660617.php). I am currently awaiting a callback from a contact I have at NBC Affiliate Relations in New York City, and will have a definitive answer soon, as to which state(s) NBC considers WCYB. I already anticipate what he will say, and I will post him as a footnoted reference.

Re: BenH sockpuppetry

[edit]

It could be taken as both vandalism and not. So, I do technically agree with the admin on saying it isn't, I would recommend watching the IP's contribs for more edits that are defintely (and without-a-doubt) vandalism. - NeutralHomerTalk22:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The links I posted in the Adam-12 article were not spam and are consistent with how many other articles document the availability of TV series online. -Ithizar (talk) 04:57, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Star Trek: The Original Series

[edit]

You are right about the air date of "Turnabout Intruder." Thanks for correcting me. I guess that Altman intended to write "was not aired until summer reruns of 1969" in that article. AlanNShapiro (talk) 08:07, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

After originally saying that you were right about the ending date of "Star Trek: The Original Series", I have changed my mind. In the MASH article, the ending of MASH is considered to be February 28, 1983. Summer reruns are irrelevant. In the Dallas article, the ending of Dallas is considered to be May 20, 1993. Again, summer reruns are irrelevant. Therefore, Star Trek ended on March 14, 1969, with the showing of "All Our Yesterdays," before summer reruns began. The fact that an additional episode, "Turnabout Intruder," was aired at the end of summer reruns is a minor incident fact. This fact deserves to be mentioned as part of the show's history, but it does not change the ending date of the show. AlanNShapiro (talk) 16:43, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The book or two that I have, encyclopedias of TV, consider the final air date to be the end of the series. Really there are two dates: last first-run episode, and last network broadcast. Syndication of the reruns would be another story. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots17:16, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. My browser seems to have a lag that does weird things. Looks like it found a new way to mess up. Vegaswikian (talk) 05:01, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Star Trek TOS episode count

[edit]

I noticed that you are the latest editor to revert my change to the TOS main article page (diff). Since you were the only such editor kind enough to leave an edit summary for the revert, would you mind letting me know where the episode count of 79 is officially noted?

StarTrek.com notes only 78 if we wish to cite the number... WikiuserNI (talk) 22:26, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the relevant edits!

[edit]

Nicholasm79, thanks for catching the frivilous additions to WBIR's slogan. The only one that counts, is the original "Straight from the Heart of East Tennessee" (I have that one on tape somewhere). That was the STATION'S slogan, not a modification of the CBS or NBC yearly marketing campaigns.

Also, in relation to the "small minority" that wants topo's or aerial photos of station towers, I have many pictures of those right now. My inventory includes pictures of all the station towers in Tri-Cities, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Birmingham, Huntsville, Columbus (Ohio), Meridian-Hattiesburg, Mobile-Pensacola, and New Orleans. I actually visit the transmitter tower locations, and photograph the structures. I'm planning to add Greenville-Asheville-Spartanburg, Charlotte, Greensboro-High Point-Winston Salem, Raleigh, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami before the end of the year.Csneed (talk) 16:31, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Test edits"?

[edit]

Uh, exactly what gave you the impression that those were test edits I did on Dark Shadows? I'm curious. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 16:32, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • How does my query qualify as a snark? Just for the record I'm an administrator with tens of thousands of edits who happens to be editing as an anon in protest regarding a certain policy. You've definitely walked into "Don't bite the newbies" territory if you think this is a snark, pal. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 15:47, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • What you're doing to avoid using your username, whatever it is, does not concern me. All I'm trying to do is maintain a standard on the article. Nothing else is germane to the point. BTW, that "test edits" was a Twinkle script that seemed to fit the best at the time. Nicholasm79 (talk) 16:58, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
