Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Nicholas Raiser. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
- instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the
{{request edit}}
template); - avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. You get this message since I noticed your repeated edit on Sweden plugging Amaranthe, and then saw that you almost exclusively edit articles related to that band, or add material about the band on other articles. [edit]Hello, I'm Sjö. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Sweden because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Sjö (talk) 18:52, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Sweden, you may be blocked from editing. Thomas.W talk 19:43, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Sweden. Final warning for repeatedly plugging a band, in spite of being told to stop by multiple other editors. Thomas.W talk 14:56, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
