A tag has been placed on Richard O'Barry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello,

Thanks for the note. Unfortunately because it was a copy violation it was delete. The article has been created multiple times and deleted per WP:A7 which means it is about a person who is not notable. Because of this the article has now been protected so that only administrators can create it. The only thing I can suggest you do is make a request at WP:DRV and see what comes up, but I doubt it will be allowed back up. You can always try. May I ask who your adviser is? Thanks!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 23:23, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gordonrox24 asked me (as the admin who deleted the most recent version) to pop over and expand a bit on this. Wikipedia has some pretty strict rules on using previously published material. Wikipedia:Copyrights#Using_copyrighted_work_from_others and Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright explains this in more detail.
The copyright holder can give permission to reuse this material. Instructions on how to do this are at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. However, the article will still need to meet other guidelines. WP:FIRST has some good information on this. HTH.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:36, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you are friends with somebody of importance inside the site, you should probably avoid creating the article on the site as you may have a WP:COI and it may be hard to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View Policy. I suggest creating the page User:Nharewood20/Richard O'Barry and writing the article there first. Do not make the same mistake again in using copyrighted text as it will be removed again. Once it is written as a subpage come see me again and I will see what we can do about getting the page back up.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 21:32, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent addition to The Cove (film) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --DAJF (talk) 05:01, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
