A tag has been placed on Bonnie Carter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Bonnie Carter, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:28, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Painting In Pictures requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mamaberry11 (talk) 19:15, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Painting In Pictures

[edit]

Hi there Nexttv! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, Painting In Pictures. This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD A7. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:Painting In Pictures, administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:18, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

We took note of your assertion of copyright ownership or permission at the above article's talk page. Unfortunately, since we do not verify user identities upon account creation, this must be verified independently.

  • If you are Bonnie Carter, you can donate copyrighted material to Wikipedia following the instructions highlighted at WP:DCM
  • If you are not Bonnie Carter but believe you can provide a proper permission to use the material, please follow the steps described at WP:PERMISSION instead
  • If you fit neither of the above, please be aware that Wikipedia can in no way accept material copyrighted to a third party, even if you believe this is in that party's interest. In this case, the article will need to be rewritten without the copyright violation. This can be done on this temporary page.

In all cases, please also note that in its previous form, the article is short of several other of our inclusion guidelines, and may still be deleted even if the copyright issue is properly addressed. I would like to encourage you to familiarize yourself with WP:FIRST, which describes what is required in order to write an encyclopedic article.

Please understand that Wikipedia takes copyright issues seriously, and cannot, in no case, leave up for display material which may potentially belong to a third party.

If you need any help, you can create a new section here and add {{helpme}} below, someone will be along shortly to assist you. Alternatively, you may also leave me a message on my talk page. Best, MLauba (talk) 19:45, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, it looks like you had a rough start on Wikipedia! Don't feel too bad, so did I. This one's an easy fix. The article you created, Bonnie carter will probably need to be moved to Bonnie Carter with a capital "C". You can just copy all of the info (since the article is short) and create a new page with the title "Bonnie Carter". You'll also want to create a re-direct from "Bonnie carter" to "Bonnie Carter". To do that, hover your mouse over the big capital "R" on your toolbar on the edit page of "Bonnie carter", then follow the instructions. Best regards on your future edits. ;o) --OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 07:01, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. When your articles are tagged with Speedy Deletion notices, it is not acceptable to remove the notices at any time, if you are the author. Placing the hangon tag underneath the notice is the standard procedure. Since you didn't know, I am going to revert the edit where it was accidentally deleted. You might be better off ditching that article completely, and just creating the new article at Bonnie Carter, when it is finished. In the meantime, I'm going to copy the info from the article to your userpage, just in case it is deleted by an admin member. Best regards. --OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 08:12, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
