A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Cafb brfk.gif, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. Tim Mullen

[edit]

Please add sources to this article or it will have to be deleted.Cptnono (talk) 23:32, 5 April 2011 (UTC) [reply]

The article Tim Mullen (drummer) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Cptnono (talk) 23:33, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for helping me with the article.Newartexpress (talk) 18:47, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, let me know if you need a hand. If I have the time I will add a few sources myself. You did do a fine job with formatting and he appears to meet our notability standards.Cptnono (talk) 23:36, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I also noticed that your user name is the same as the uploader at YouTube that the band's main page points to. If you speak Hungarian, radio interview at youtube.com/watch?v=aox3UeAfspAcan be used as a source. Please use the {{cite episode}} template without a link since linking to the video might be contributory copyright infringement.Cptnono (talk) 00:22, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed informational links to the page.I am working to improve this article.Newartexpress (talk) 17:51, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tim Mullen (drummer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. E Wing (talk) 04:45, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And removed since it was discussed above. I have added additional info on the talk page. AfD is an option.Cptnono (talk) 05:42, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Parker Lundgren has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Disputed and saved. Looks to meet notability standards. I tinkered with it but feel free to make any changes as long as you keep some sources in.Cptnono (talk) 06:03, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I looked for it but I could not find any real help about uploading scanned magazine articles or front pages. What are the guidelines? Newartexpress (talk) 23:01, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure what you mean with scanned images so am going to reply to the two likely scenarios:
  • You are allowed to use a source even if it is not available online. If you have a copy of Guitar World' with a story just supply the Magazine name, title of the story, name of the author. and page name. See WP:OFFLINE for some suggestions. Basically, our verifiability guideline says that it has to be verifiable but does not address th ease of verification. Someone can contact the magazine to pay for a copy of that issue.
  • Image: We cannot use images that someone else has the copyright to unless we have permission or have such good reasoning that we can provide a water tight rationale. Let me know if you need more details on this since it is a pain.
Whether you are doing it since you are a fan or if you know the guys: Thanks for contributing. The deletion notices o your talk page are because you are not doing it perfect and not because you are wrong to try to contribute.Cptnono (talk) 04:53, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:CAFB 1997.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:CAFB 1997.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 13:52, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
