I noticed you have made 3 attempts at adding disputed material without engaging in discussion on the Talk Page here. Please review the policy in the following warning about the 3 revert rule and if you wish to make a contribution to the article to improve it, join the discussion. - Maximusveritas (talk) 01:06, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

MV:

I tried to respond on the "Talk Page" but was unsuccessful (technical ignorance, I'm afraid.) I think there is some confusion between the "citizenship" issue and the "eligibility to be president" issue under U.S. Const. Art. II, sec. 1's "natural born citizen" clause. Ted Cruz no doubt has the *statutory* status of a U.S. citizen for purposes of voting, paying taxes, getting a passport and the like. But a very different question is his *eligibility* to be president under the Constitution, as neither the Supreme Court nor any lower federal has ever ruled on the meaning of Art. II, sec. 1. Moreover, according to academic research [identified Wiki's "natural born citizen" page], foreign-born individuals of U.S. citizens have not always been viewed as U.S. citizens themselves. Respectfully, I think that distinction may be getting lost. Nevadausa16 (talk) 15:42, 11 October 2013 (UTC) Nevadausa16 Nevadausa16 (talk) 15:42, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
