Orphaned fair use image (Image:Jajah.com logo.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jajah.com logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. License tagging for Image:Jeep CJ5 1980.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeep CJ5 1980.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I added the

tag

Unspecified source for Image:Jajah_how_it_works.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jajah_how_it_works.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:06, 2 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 19:06, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Talenthouse icon.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Talenthouse icon.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Swipp

[edit]

Hello Netzkobold,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Swipp for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ishdarian 23:21, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I noticed you've removed the speedy deletion template from Swipp twice now. I don't know if you meant to or if you got caught up in an edit conflict, but removing a speedy deletion template as the article creator is not allowed. Ishdarian 23:46, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't mean to delete your speedy deletion code, I was just copy & pasting what I had put together locally. We are a successful startup based in Silicon Valley that have a Wikipedia page like many others, see Category:Companies based in Mountain View, California or Rdio or Flipboard, we have received significant funding, traction and references. I am happy to add more references and content.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Swipp Logo Horizontal.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Swipp Logo Horizontal.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:31, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Sfan00 IMG I believe I added all the information necessary

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Stan Lee Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

I received your block notice. I appreciate and respect everything Wikipedia has brought to the world and the work of its administrators. I have been using Wikipedia for a long time and obey by its rules. I agree that I am not an avid contributor to a wide variety of articles and topics. My contributions have mainly been centered around tech companies as that is my field of work. My contributions are not intended to be spam or advertising and as you can clearly see with the aim to be as objective as possible and provide plenty of third-party references for an article that was previously missing. I have read "Good faith effort to write an encyclopedia article", MER-C's page, "New page patrol Bingo!" and agree with what you are communicating here. I am not acting in bad faith, I intended to add an article that was previously missing while obeying Wikipedia's guidelines of objectivity, relevance and providing sufficient references. I also chose to not post anonymously so we can have this conversation and that I have no intentions to add non-relevant or spammy content to Wikipedia. I would appreciate to be unblocked. Thank you

Decline reason:

By your own admission, you are Frederik Hermann of https://www.frederikhermann.com/. On that site, you list companies such as jajah, swipp, talenthouse, etc. You have been directly editing those articles without the mandatory conflict of interest disclosure. You were blocked for "Spam / advertising-only account, covert advertising and failure to disclose paid contributions" and this is clearly what happened. The block is appropriate. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your draft article, Draft:BirdEye

[edit]

Hello, Netzkobold. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "BirdEye".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Lapablo (talk) 10:58, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:BirdEye Logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Uploaded for Draft:BirdEye. No other use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 05:51, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
