DYK for Jerry's Painting
On 9 May 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jerry's Painting, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that "Jerry's Painting", an episode of the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation, features a painting with a topless centaur Greek goddess that resembles the lead character, played by Amy Poehler? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Uploads
I think it would be instructive for you if you took a careful read of this recent ANI thread. Somebody was topic-banned just yesterday for persistently failing to understand the non-free content rules. He was, in fact, making uploads of just the kind you are making now. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Jo-bennett-book-sm.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Jo-bennett-book-sm.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 23:35, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
