- A musician or ensemble is notable if it has had some sort of recognition by professional organizations, such as music charts.
- Notability is met if the musician has been the subject of a broadcast by a media network.
I believe the band Palm Springs is notable in the Wikipedia sense of the word for the following reasons:

- issue of October 2007 on p. 105 there's a review of "I Start Fires" (resulting in 4.5 of 5 stars)
- issue of June 2007 they had "Softly to Fallen" put onto the cd New Noises (#83)
- issue of July 2006 on p. 121 was a review of "Softly to Fallen" (resulting in 4.5 of 5 stars)
