Buzz Out Loud
In what way is adding link to a private wiki Spam? if you had checked, you would have found that the buzz out loud wiki does indeed exist, is endorsed by the hosts and contributers, and listeners of the show (as shown by the CNET forums, forums.cnet.com) and has widely become the place for the buzz out loud show to be documented outside of wikipedia. I was merely providing a method for users interested in the show to find more documentation. As is understandable. You may not know, but the buzz out loud community started this wiki, in collaboration with the hosts, as an effort to provide documentation outside of wikipedia as it was felt that that there was much content that needed to be recorded, but was either removed by hostile wikipedia users, or did not have a true place on wikipedia. Much of this buzzoutloud.wikia.com content is relavent, so i would encourage you to go to forums.cnet.com, and inquire about the wiki,as well as search for it. If you do, you will find my edits were just and fair, and merely linking to a source that provided more information, nothing more, nothing less. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thepodcasticator (talk • contribs) 17:09, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Penny pool
Hi Neil - you wrote: What would be an appropriate AfD nomination reason for this article?
Well, you've got a reasonable reason - it's just you've connected one dot too many. If you said "No references found or provided supporting notability - looks like it might be WP:MADEUP", then there'd be no problem, because more often than not, that'll be true. It's just the automatic assumption that might be wrong, so should be avoided. Basically, if it looks like a duck and swims it might still be a goose :) Grutness...wha? 13:00, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Redirect of User Shia
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on User Shia, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because User Shia is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting User Shia, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Page blanking
If I recall correctly, original authors can request deletion of their pages. Blanking them does nothing but leave empty pages floating on the database. Courtesy blanking would be an exception, but that clearly wasn't the intent here. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 02:56, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on the article about Mexico City Furia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. I can see that you are concerned, as I am, about this article. You cited the Baptist article as a model so I am working in their image to get some relevent facts into it. The problem is, there is an anom that keeps overwriting everything. I need advise as to what to do to get the Assemblies of Yahweh article fleshed out. Thanks! WEMUS 23:50, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

- I don't know that I've taken care of it, but I've done a little tidying and made it sound a little less sermon-like. It needs more work, but I have actual real-life work to do, so I can't devote much time to sorting it out. The IP's systematic deletion of all previous edits is particularly tiresome, given the effort by WEMUS to talk about it, whether we agree with him or not. Role-playing games
For articles on role-playing games, we recommend the following layout:
Title
- ==Setting==
- ==System==
- ==History==
- It is intended that this section should give a narrative history of the game. Long lists of all books published for a given game or system are not recommended for inclusion in articles; however, an external link pointing to such a list is strongly recommended.
There is no external link as it is a compiled list of the books, modules and supplements. The list is not in the history section; it is set off in a section by itself FOR REFERENCE. Most of the books are now Out of Print because the licensing with WOTC has expired. The list may be a little long but this is all thats going to published. The next version of HackMaster is not even scheduled yet so it may be 2 or 3 years OR not at all.
- ==See also==
- ==References==
- A section for references at the bottom, in the following format:
- Books, modules, supplements, boxed sets, etc
- Author or editor. Title of product (publisher, date). Available online:URL, if applicable
- ==External links==

In reference to your comments on my talk page regarding User Allen1221, he has been continually attempting to convert En-GB and En-IN articles to En-US, as well as editing the Al Jazeera English article to insinuate some sort of Jewish bias. This is despite repeated warnings and repeated reversions of his changes by other editors. Whenever a warning is posted on his talk page, he blanks it (look at its history). This far beyond a case of biting the newcomers. I suggest that you take a look at his editing history more closely.
I am going to report him due to his continued misbehaviour.

Unfortunately I have no source for the offices. I am basically acting on instinct here (I doubt that Abraham Lincoln is the mayor). Maybe we should ask on the talk page. Hi, thanks for correcting the new opening I made in the cybernetics article. You however referted my second sentence here with the argument:
- Reverted 1 edit by Mdd; Reverting back -> poor grammar, no refs.
Now you are right that my grammer is poor (and even more poor if I work in the Dutch and English wikipedia at the samen tim). But this is, as far as I know, no reason to refert an edit. In the past half a year (and the more then 5000 edits I made in this field) I always relied on other editors to pick up my intention and to improve it. Tags
depends on the tag - in some cases, whether or not an article does or doesn't have any references should not necessarily be an issue, per se. There are cases where the tags only take up space and create an ugly appearance - there are articles of substantial content and great length without reference. In cases of trivia, it isn't necessary to tag - again, all it is doing is merely stating that wiki doesn't support such (it is still allowed) - and the tag is nothing more than nonsensical graffiti. IMHO. Rarelibra (talk) 19:15, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree. Rarelibra (talk) 19:23, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- It took me two minutes to find the ref required to remove that tag. Instead of expending such energy on "going back to replace tags" - one could see a much more positive and productive approach to, instead, go back and actually place something there. The same goes for those who have nothing better than to slap a tag and move on - take two min to, instead, slap the requirement (i.e., a ref) instead of the ugly tag. Rarelibra (talk) 19:30, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- My point is why did someone not take the two minutes to find it BEFORE adding the tag. That is the more important question. Rarelibra (talk) 20:06, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

More on tags
Here is something interesting to consider before you throw tags around again. I have been finding a lot of occurrences where someone throws the no references tag on an article when, in fact, there are references there.
For some reason, the (reflist) was changed to (Reflist) (with a capital 'R'). This, in turn, caused a lot of reference lists to become non-functional. Simply changing the "r" to capital makes it fully functional again - instead of slapping on a tag and moving on to another article. Rarelibra (talk) 18:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Franz Harary
An editor has nominated Franz Harary, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Franz Harary and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:59, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article YOR.com, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
