Catch 22 logic
[edit]The generalization you mention in your edit summery was confusing and seemed incorrect (see the talk page). Over some time some of us hashed out a new version to make more sense to lay readers, which is what you see. If you would like to improve it go ahead, but I don't see how the paragraph you've added improves the article (maybe if it were to formalize the list which is already there, but we felt that list was easy for lay readers to follow).
