Suggestions: Your first article
[edit]If this is your first attempt to author an article, I recommend that you go through these steps:
(1) Determine whether the subject of your article meets the requirements for inclusion in the encyclopedia.
The draft must demonstrate that the subject meets the notability guidelines here:
- Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Basic_criteria
- Wikipedia:Notability_(music)#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles
(2) If yes, then decide whether *you* should be the person to author the article (conflict-of-interest or bias concerns?).

To learn which sources to include, and which sources to avoid, read:
(4) Then build your draft solely as a summary of what those sources have said/reported about your subject. Don't embellish or add personal knowledge that readers can't verify.
