Disambiguation link notification for March 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chittagong Division cricket team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Niaz Morshed (cricketer). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:46, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have completed the disambiguation. This sort of message is very useful and I hope to receive more because I believe all links should take the reader directly to the correct target article. Thank you again. Naz talk 11:51, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

GA assessment of Shore Line East
[edit]I appreciate you taking the review. Mackensen and I have fixed the missing citations that you gave as the reason for your immediate fail. Would you consider re-reviewing the article this this fixed? Thank you, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:15, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Pi.1415926535, Mackensen. If you would be renominating the article at GAN I will be very happy to be reviewing it again. Please to let me know when it has been relisted. Thank you. Regards, Naz | talk | contribs 06:39, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Edit to Crease (cricket)
[edit]Hi Naz, It wasn't a mistake or practise. It was fixing the malformed image block where the widths="250px" text is leaking onto the page. The empty quotes stop this and make the image appear as presumably intended. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.156.156.69 (talk) 14:27, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Hello there
[edit]Regarding your thread at AN/I, I feel I have been more forceful then otherwise necessary. The complaint you took to AN/I was fair enough, I would perhaps suggest that when at AN/I if somebody makes a suggestion or request to take it on board, so long as it is reasonable. I cannot close the discussion for several reasons the primary one being my involvement in the discussion, we'll see whether you get other opinions or if an admin or non-admin performs the close. Sorry if you felt under attack, have a nice day and happy editing. Mr rnddude (talk) 21:59, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Mr rnddude, that is a very kind message from you. I am mainly concerned that the IP might be a vandal seeking to disrupt our discussion by insulting the subject to be stirring up trouble. As I am living in London I know nothing of the current Mr O'Reilly and can only be commenting on the importance to the cricket coverage in the encyclopaedia of the bowler Bill O'Reilly whose status in cricket would be equivalent to that of the man Walter Johnson in baseball, of whom I was told by an American friend. Thank you again, Mr rnddude and I am hoping you too will continue to enjoy your editing. Regards, Naz | talk | contribs 09:24, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

DYK for W. G. Grace in the 1878 English cricket season
[edit]On 6 July 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article W. G. Grace in the 1878 English cricket season, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that W. G. Grace (pictured) seriously contemplated retirement before the 1878 English cricket season after a shooting accident? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/W. G. Grace in the 1878 English cricket season. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, W. G. Grace in the 1878 English cricket season), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Rameez Raja
[edit]Hi: I'm curious as to why you reverted my edit on the Rameez Raja talk page; it was a good faith edit so that it sorts properly in the Biography articles of living people category. Thanks --FeanorStar7 08:25, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- @User:FeanorStar7. Hi, FeanorStar7. It must be appearing to you that I have reverted you but in fact I am in process of correcting some 400 talk pages where listas parameter is incorrect for names of Bangladeshi and Pakistani cricketers. In those countries, custom is to be sorting by whole name and not by surname as in England or America. Therefore, Rameez Raja is sorted as written and not as Raja, Rameez. We do not have surname as English names are having so while Smith, John is correct sorting but Raja, Rameez is incorrect. Please to let me know if you are needing more explanation but it is all being due to custom in Islamic countries. I am needing names to be sorting correctly for the purposes of our Bangladesh cricket task force. I am hoping this is useful. Thank you, FeanorStar7. Regards, Naz | talk | contribs 09:09, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Nazcheema: thanks very much for the detailed explanation. I agree with you; I usually tend to avoid updating the listas parameter with names like these (especially if I don't know the language), but the original sorting was (cricketer), Raja, Rameez (I think); which is I why I had tried to correct it.--FeanorStar7 09:15, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, FeanorStar7. I am glad I have been able to explain it. I have added full title to |listas parameter in this case because there is another (much more famous) Rameez Raja. Thank you again, FeanorStar7. Regards, Naz | talk | contribs 09:19, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

A small thought for TFDs
[edit]Hello, I saw your recent nominations at today's TFD nominations, and I thought I would comment. If you are nominating multiple templates for identical reasons, it is best to combine them into one nomination so other users do not have to make the same !vote four or five times. Of course, if you feel that some of the templates in a group like that might survive, you are welcome to nominate them separately, but in general grouping is preferred. Cheers, Primefac (talk) 20:23, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Primefac. Yes, you are of course correct and I should be combining these. My apologies. I have not been nominating templates previously and only a few articles, I should have been thinking that there may be a way to combine so this is a good learning point and I am always grateful to anyone who can be helping me to learn. Thank you, Primefac. Regards, Naz | talk | contribs 08:28, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
