Hi NawlinWiki! You have deleted my Hippopotamus Effect that is used in the Graphic Arts to indicate the effect that occurs when an image looses the highlights and simultaneously has a large dot gain in the shadows. It is an effect common in screenprinting method with stochastic raster (where the dots are very small). The result is to loose the highlights since the mesh is clogging and on the other hand image looses the gray balance and turns to a reddish color. The effect is not equally observed in all CMYK colours as it is well known that magenta is the colour that tends to agglomerate more than any other. That is the reason the image turns to reddish colours (in the shadows image turns to reddish brown). It is a phenomenon that a well balanced gray image turns to reddish during the printing process. This phenomenon is analog to the color change of Hippopotamus that happens when the animal is exposed in the sun (Please read about it in wikipedia). In Graphic Arts this phenomenon is called Hippo Effect and we use it a lot. I did added a reference about the blood sweat of Hippopotamus and also a paper of mine accepted by the scientific committee of the GRID 14 a Graphic Arts Symposium that will be held in NoviSud on November. In this paper the terminology of Hippopotamus effect is referred and explained quite well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsigonias (talk • contribs) 20:01, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi NawlinWiki
I think you recently deleted a page I tried to create.
Is it possible to tell me how it should be done so as not to be deleted - it is first Wiki page I have tried!
Thank you very much
Best

Hello! You have deleted a page entitled "Deborah Presley Brando", she was married to Christian Brando, elder child of actor Marlon Brando. here is an internal link to her husband Christian, where you can see it's talking about her in the marriage section. Christian_Brando Could we start an article about her based on that? thx Antonio --Antoniomecheri (talk) 23:37, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)
[edit]Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:
- Link to Survey (should take between 5-10 minutes): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/N8FQ6MM
It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.
At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).
Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.
If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:26, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

[edit]I have made the revisions to make my page conform to my peers. Please let me know if it needs further revision. I own the trademark in the US for this name.
DJ Renegade
I also made a page for my label under my username. The label is NYC Traxx Records. If it conforms I would like to flip it into a real page.
Thank you.--DJRenegadeUSA (talk) 13:45, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
