Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Boston University Metropolitan College
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Boston University Metropolitan College, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Unblock request
[edit]NattyBoy72 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am not sure why my content was blocked, it was not particularly promotional. I am adding a subpage for a college of Boston University (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_University), section 4.1. That section lists the University's schools and colleges. The page I created was for Metropolitan College, and it is similar to this existing page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_University_College_of_Communication. NattyBoy72 (talk) 20:49, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
Accept reason:
Your account was blocked only because of your username, and now that you have been renamed I have unblocked. Welcome back. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:17, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
Inquiry added into a draft
[edit]Hello. It looks like you've tried to asked another user a question about the deletion of a previously-created page within a draft. I've tagged the page for speedy deletion, as the draft namespace is intended for articles that are to go into the encyclopedia as articles. The appropriate page to ask the user about the deletion is their user talk page. Thanks. Linguist If you reply here, please add {{ping|Linguist111}} to your message 16:20, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
