Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Phish phood may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. –Sommers (Talk) 21:45, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Phish phood article
[edit]In response to the message you left me on User talk: Sommers: first off, let me thank you for your civility in this matter. Please don't feel discouraged by the deletion of this article; I was just following Wikipedia's guidelines for notability when I tagged it and no newcomer is expected to know all of our criteria for inclusion. I hope you will continue to contribute to Wikipedia.
I would certainly give you a copy of the text of the article if I could, but unfortunately, I have no way of doing so. I wasn't the one who deleted the article—only admins have that power, and I'm not one—I only tagged it so an admin could take care of it. I don't have a local copy of the article and, since it's been deleted, there isn't one available on Wikipedia either.
There should be a way of getting it back, though. According to the page Wikipedia:Undeletion policy, you can get the page temporarily undeleted so you can save a local copy. (Look under "Reasons why an article might be requested for undeletion".) In order to speed things up, I've taken the liberty of requesting its temporary undeletion on your behalf at the Wikipedia:Deletion review page. You may want to go over there and leave a message at its entry. Hopefully an admin will be able to take care of this.
I'm really sorry that this has inconvenienced you. I can empathize with you, as I know it would drive me absolutely nuts if I didn't have access to something I'd worked on. Good luck with the undeletion process, and thanks again for handling this civilly. Please let me know if I can do anything else for you.

- There you go. I'm glad this could be worked out and that it didn't negatively affect your opinion of Wikipedia. Happy editing, and as always, if I can help with or explain anything else in the future, please let me know. –Sommers (Talk) 19:45, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
