Hello, Nathalie.solorzano, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Article issues

[edit]

Your additions to the Salmonella article include passages copied verbatim or nearly verbatim from a variety of non-free sources. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. For copyright reasons, your entire contribution was deleted. Please review the Plagiarism and Copyright training module before proceeding further. Thanks. To say a little more - you can't copy from sources - you need to write things entirely in your own words. You also need to make sure that the information you're adding to the article doesn't duplicate content that's already in the article - it should fit in smoothly, so that it all functions as part of a single work.
Also bear in mind that this article should have a global focus. Adding a long table about year-by-year outbreaks in the US is going to unbalance the article. It's meant to be about the topic globally, not just in one country. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:35, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Please also only add small sections at a time with properly formatted sources. The article is supposed to look tidy and be easy to read by readers all over the world. Your last version was a real mess. I appreciate that you are student and this may be dispiriting, but Wikipedia is live to the world, Salmonella is an interesting topic for very many readers and it needs to be an appropriate article throughout its editing history. Thank you.  Velella  Velella Talk   20:22, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
