Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:29, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:45, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocking

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding that has caused blocking me - when creating an article I copied a piece of text from another web-page of mine, but I won't use this text for my article any more. Further on I'll be more accurate in regard to abiding by Wiki rules. Thank you in advance for restoring me.

Decline reason:

We appreciate your politeness and civility; however your request does not address a major reason for the block: your username. I know the AfC was rejected but you still did create the article in mainspace at one point. So, we could accept you more as an editor if you used {{unblock-un}} to propose a new username, and considered the query below. — Daniel Case (talk) 01:41, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Abandashake (talk) 23:57, 18 January 2014 (UTC) Here are a few key questions:[reply]

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 01:41, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Daniel, thanks for the response. I do understand the three principles above, and I promise not to violate them. It probably sounds unusual, but no matter AbaNDa SHAKE is a notable project that has made a sufficient difference and influence in music industry (the notability links were provided by me in my article), it has not been a business project. The latter must be the reason why no one else but me is eager to write the article about it herein. Thank you again in advance for unblocking me. Request reason:

After examining all of the remarks in regard to the reasons of my being blocked and taking in consideration the pieces of advice given to me by the administrators above, I'm asking to restore me with a different username provided herein. Thanks in advance.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username, on the basis of your assurances about your editing intentions for the future. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. JamesBWatson (talk) 15:34, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If unblocked, what kind of edits do you plan to make to Wikipedia? Do you plan to only focus on trying to make AbaNDa SHAKE into an article? Or do you have other edits/articles you plan to work on? only (talk) 22:42, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Only. Thank you for your response. I'll be honest here: since I've been feeling unhealthy for several years, the project AbaNDa SHAKE has been developing very slowly, and, hence, our progress hasn't been quite obvious and "notable" for masses lately. This is why I have little hope that anyone else but me as the creator of the project is going to write an article about us. I also clearly understand that if I make another attempt to do so, I may be blocked on Wiki for forever, taking in consideration the admins' remarks above in regard to the rules. Therefore, I won't try to create the AbaNDa SHAKE article again unless your rules somehow change and allow me to do it without any possible violations of them on my part. In the meanwhile I'll limit myself to other minor edits. However, I assure you that AbaNDa SHAKE was indeed a notable music act - our songs and videos were broadcasted nationwide on major TV and radio channels in Ukraine and at some locations globally, and they are said to be still heard and seen at some places. I believe it is unfair to say that we aren't notable. Encyclopedias don't usually include the contemporary phenomena only, but those which happened in the past too. Anyway, I respect the administrators' rights to decide if we deserve a spot on Wiki or not. At present I only ask you to restore me here with my username Natali_Dali. Thank you!
