Coffea charrieriana

Because it was an orphan at the time I added the tag in December 2009. If you review the article history you'll notice that the article wasn't added to the "coffee" template (which accounts for almost all of its inbound links) until several months later; the person who added it at that time should have removed the orphan template since it wasn't an orphan anymore, but apparently didn't. The real truth is that it's a template that people tend not to monitor adequately once it's been applied to articles — even just a few links are enough that an article is no longer considered an orphan, but the template tends not to get removed even though it's no longer applicable (in much the same way as you'll frequently find articles which are tagged as "unreferenced" but actually have several references.) So if you see an article that has a lot of inbound links already, but still has that template on it, it's okay to remove the template. Bearcat (talk) 04:33, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

One thing I should clarify, though, is that only links from other articles count toward an article not being an orphan. It doesn't matter whether those links are inside a template or in body text, as long as there are links from other articles — but if you look at "what links here" and all of the inbound links are from user talk pages or maintenance pages whose titles begin with Wikipedia:, then the article is still an orphan.
