Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, NantucketHistory! Thank you for your contributions. I am HopsonRoad and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! HopsonRoad (talk) 11:28, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the warm welcome HopsonRoad. I appreciate it! NantucketHistory (talk) 23:41, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this looks like a G.L.A.M. opportunity.  Dlohcierekim (talk) 20:52, 2 July 2019 (UTC) "The GLAM–Wiki initiative ("galleries, libraries, archives, and museums" with Wikipedia; also including botanic and zoological gardens) helps cultural institutions share their resources with the world through collaborative projects with experienced Wikipedia editors.".  Dlohcierekim (talk) 20:53, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This user name is non conforming. You will need to choose one that represents you as an individual. Ping me and I can rename you. Just copy and paste {{ping|dlohcierekim}} at the beginning of a sentence and sign with 4 ~'s .  Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:00, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you.   Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:53, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am one person. I am not a group or organization. I would like to be unbanned as I have done nothing wrong. I am still learning so I'm not even sure if this will display or not. Please help me! NantucketHistory (talk) 23:32, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Dlohcierekim: NantucketHistory (talk) 23:35, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Dlohcierekim: I just spoke to NantucketHistory in the #wikipedia-en-help connect IRC channel. I assume from your above comments that you think they're associated with the Nantucket Historical Association; they said that's not the case. I don't see that the username on its own violates WP:GROUPNAME or any other provision of the WP:Username policy; to me it looks like a name chosen by someone interested in the history of Nantucket. That there are organizations with similar names is unfortunate but arguably difficult to avoid; after all, I'm not a representative of the Huon Valley Council or the Huon Times, either. [edit]

Sorry for the inconvenience. It was with reluctancce that I made the block as I think you will be a great asset to the encyclopedia.  Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:59, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Republic of Doyle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mark O'Brien. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:49, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Hush (cryptocurrency) (January 21)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reasons left by Robert McClenon were: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was:

This draft has been Rejected by a reviewer in the Articles for Creation review process. DO NOT resubmit this draft or attempt to resubmit this draft or prepare or submit a draft that is substantially the same as this draft without discussing the reasons for the rejection. You may request a discussion with the rejecting reviewer, or you may request a discussion with the community at the Teahouse. A discussion will not necessarily agree to a resubmission. If this draft is resubmitted, or an attempt is made to resubmit this draft or an equivalent draft, without addressing the reasons for the Rejection, a topic-ban or a partial block may be requested against the submitting editor, and the draft may be nominated for deletion.

You may ask for advice about Rejection at the Teahouse.

A draft about this cryptocurrency was rejected on 8 April 2020 as cryptocurrency spam. This draft has now been resubmitted following rejection, which is disruptive. The submitter was notified in August 2020 that general sanctions are applicable to disruptive editing of cryptocurrencies.

Do not resubmit this draft without first discussing it and being given approval to resubmit. There is no guarantee that discussion will result in approval to resubmit, but resubmission without discussion will result in a request for sanctions, which may include a topic-ban or a partial block.
