Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Nanouk! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Jim Shapiro (drummer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Orgy-France
[edit]Hi,
You removed Orgy-France's link that was on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orgy_(band). Why did you do that? We did not put any false information or tried to steal someone's place. We simply put our website so fans can have a place to get some informations on the band (since the other sites are not updtated).
Tnank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Orgyfrancefr (talk • contribs) 22:36, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hi! The fact box should contain a link to the offical website, not fan pages. Please also consider WP:EL. Thanks! --Nanouk (talk) 22:47, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi Nanouk!
Thank you very much for writing back to us! It is assuredly much appreciated!
We understand that you're trying to do something good by keeping the Orgy wikipedia page perfect, which is surely a great thing, but hey...it's just a band! On an internet page in top of that. We honestly think it doesn't really matter if it does not respect perfectly all the Wikipedias notations. It's not like Orgy-France reinvented the date that Saddam Hussein got captured. ;)
We would also like to know who you are? Or you part of the band itself? Are you working for them (as a D1 intern or something similar)? A fan from the band? Or are you simply just going around and correcting pages on Wikipedia like this?
Because if you're a fan from Orgy, you would have noticed that no sites (whatever they're official or not) are talking about them. We are actually the only website that provides the very few news there are on Orgy. If you don't believe us, you can go and check all the other sites on Orgy's Wikipedia page and you'll notice that everything is dead. And if you're a fan, you would also be pleased that a site is actually taking care of giving news about the band (since there are no others).
We're going to put things back as they were. If you haven't received any specific order from Orgy itself or from someone very close from the band, we would really appreciate you to not touch our entries again in the future.
Thanks a lot! :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Orgyfrancefr (talk • contribs) 06:04, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:02, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
