Hello, Nancypolk1, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Amalia Carneri, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Amalia Carneri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Amalia Carneri

Do you have any written sources from books about this soprano that can be added to the article? Cheers! --MurderByDeletionism"bang!" 23:50, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you!

[edit]

Going through an AfD is unpleasant for everyone so here's a kitten which won't do anything but make your talk page cuter. Also, you can contact me anytime for help. Cheers!

Article deletion discussion

[edit]

Hi Nancy Polk: I'm afraid the article is being discussed for deletion: here. A number of people are trying to save it, and I think there's a good chance we can do so. But you should edit there and make your own argument for why she is notable enough to be kept. And as others have said here and on Talk:Amalia Carneri, book references and more information about the press clippings would really help. I'll see what I can find, since I can read Fraktur, but as you know, a limited amount of old newspaper files have been placed online. Courage, and thanks for the article! Yngvadottir (talk) 10:56, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Update: The nominator withdrew, the article is no longer nominated for deletion. I imagine this was an alarming experience, and I apologize, and hope you'll stick around and give us more articles as well as helping firm up the sourcing on this one :-) Yngvadottir (talk) 20:15, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stolperstein

[edit]

Hallo Nancy Polk: I would like to have a translation in deWP, but you would need more secondary sources. a Stolperstein however would be a must keep. Polentarion Talk 15:49, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
