- Thank you for the greeting and invitation. True, I am not a novice editor (almost 15 years at Wikipedia). All difficulties are related to understanding the specifics of the English version of Wikipedia. --Namesnik (talk) 12:38, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hello, Namesnik. Thank you for your work on Iron ochre. Klbrain, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
In English, this is a synonym for Ochre (all of them being iron compounds). While this might not be the case in Russian, for .en the page is best merged.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}

Ochers are a lot of minerals. Clays, lead ocher, even bismuth. The mineralogical dictionary (see sources) says that iron ocher is a separate trivial name for these minerals. That is why I have highlighted them in a separate list. I don't agree with merging pages. It seems to me that this impoverishes the encyclopedia. Iron ocher can exist separately. --Namesnik (talk) 14:28, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

Nyet means Nyet
[edit]I just noticed your Ps-tag and couldn't resist to share this little piece of diplomatic assessment drafted by William Burns in February 2008: Nyet means Nyet. Gunnar (talk) 21:55, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
[edit]Hi Namesnik, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 19:19, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you twice, Schwede, for the quick decision (I didn't expect it to be so quick)! Of course, I won't "worsen" my work after the status has been assigned, if only because worsening is not my priority and not my rules. As before, so now. Thanks again. If there are any questions, I will take advantage of your kind offer, after all, there are cases here when I don’t understand everything (not so much in the texts, but in the customs). --- - Names·nik·tlk 22:24, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sure. Happy to help. Schwede66 22:30, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:20, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
