[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to The Akmak Complex, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. kongr43gpenTalk 15:45, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi. As you can see, your blanking of this article has been causing some trouble. I see from one of your edit summaries that you believe the article is plagiarized. I wasn't able to find anything on google that matches the article text - could you please provide us with some information about where you believe the article was plagiarized from (or, if you are the original creator of the page, as you appear to be, where you copied the text from), and a link to the original content, if possible? Thank you. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 15:57, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Wouldn't this be a case for {{db-author}}? The only other contribution to the page was extremely minor (removing a single word and reverting the blankings). Monty845 16:00, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yep, you're right Monty. When I added this comment I hadn't noticed that he was the original author, then I backtracked thinking that if it were a copyvio it would still need special revdeling, but on a moment's thought, page deletion would handle that better than revdel would anyway. I tagged it for G7 and someone deleted it within seconds. I think we're good to go now. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 16:07, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Some sentences in the article were lifted from this website http://www.mnsu.edu/emuseum/archaeology/sites/northamerica/akmak.html but this website no longer exists. Other sentences were lifted word for word from Akmak: An Early Archeological Assemblage from Onion Portage, Northwest Alaska by Douglas D. [edit]I'd say the university website pic is copyright, so not free for use. (Not expert, tho.) Contact the university; they can tell you if the photographer will release it (or has, by letting them post it). For uploading, you can use the "upload file" link, but I'd suggest you upload to Commons, instead, then just copy the filename. If there's anything else I can help with, message my talk.
