Welcome!

Hello, Nahid.rajbd, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Riverview Mes, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 16:00, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Riverview Mes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 16:00, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page রাজশাহী কলেজ বরেন্দ্র থিয়েটার to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on রাজশাহী কলেজ বরেন্দ্র থিয়েটার requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —SpacemanSpiff 18:07, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Piain River, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://banglavasha.com/tour_spot.php?division=&district=&spot_type=River%20and%20Lake&offset=70.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Non-free rationale for File:Mohanpur-Government-Girls-High-School-Logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mohanpur-Government-Girls-High-School-Logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Orphaned non-free image File:Exim Bank Agricultural University Logo.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Exim Bank Agricultural University Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:41, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Nahid.rajbd. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 18:28, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:AnuKreethy Vas.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:AnuKreethy Vas.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:21, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Content you included in the above article back in August 2016 appears to have been copied from the school website. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, some content had to be removed. All content you add to Wikipedia must be written in your own words. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:18, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Rajshahi Kings.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Rajshahi Kings.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Jeremy Reingold matched those requested in an Upwork job posted by the subject of the article; less than a day after you made those edits, the job was hidden and marked as hired. That's too much of a coincidence to be - well, a coinicidence. Yunshui  09:32, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I can explain that. Yes he did knocked me on upwork about wikipedia editing and as like most of the invitation I messaged him reply about free editing policy of wikipedia. I guided him about adding images on his existing wikipedia page and he created an account on wikimedia commons to upload his photo. I just tried to help him to put his pic as free license from his phone commons app. I refused to get paid for that, I don't take payment for wiki editing ever in life. Then he told me to help him claiming his knowledge panel in google search, I helped him and he paid me $40 for that consultation. As per upwork policy he left review on existing job posting. Is that a paid editing? --Nahid Hossain (talk) 09:50, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So you "don't take payment for wiki editing ever in life" but you accepted "$40 for that consultation" after editing for him and don't know if that's paid editing? Of course it is! Accepting any money for any work related to your Wikipedia editing is covered by WP:PAID. And editing an article at the subject's behest, even if you did not accept money for that specifically, constitutes a conflict of interest which also much be declared. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:15, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is my first time facing this kind of frustrating situation on wikipedia. Looks like I have made slight mistake accepting that contract title wikipedia, but believe me I haven't took a penny for wiki editing, that is against my morality. I have helped him on other tasks, the job title was mentioning the wikipedia, So it seems like I am being paid for wiki editing, but it's not. It's my 9 years on wikipedia, I have 18k+ edit on wikipedia, I write blogs about wikipedia volunteering, I know how lame is paid editing and I am against that kind of activities on wiki. --Nahid Hossain (talk) 11:19, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from editing his article in main, you also edited his Wikidata entry to improve his Google knowledge panel and you were paid so, that's a violation. GSS💬 14:25, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, even I have edited his uploaded file on commons also. But I haven't thought that far then. I used to help wikipedian with their wikidata edits. Whenever someone mention any page on talk pages, I try to improve the associated wikidata item. Now I am feeling so guilty to see this much of violation from my last edits. I am so sorry. --Nahid Hossain (talk) 14:48, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi NahidHossain, it might help if you tell us whether you have any personal connections at all with Morshed Mishu or Maria Nur. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:37, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No, never. I would never do that. Morshed Mishu is a cartoonist. He was being featured frequently after the forbes selection and I have noticed him from several quora post. So I tried collecting information from the sources and created an article on Morshed Mishu. He is famous on instagram and one day I commented if he can upload a free licensed photo of him on wikimedia. He said he doesn't know anything about wikimedia but he can do that on flickr in reply. Then I just imported his photo from flickr using the wikimedia commons tool. I do not have any contact on Maria Nur. She is widely known and famous here. --Nahid Hossain (talk) 09:50, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looking at Morshed Mishu. They upload "September 14, 2019"[1] to flicker and you added here the same day.[2]
  • You wrote 91% of that page including adding his date of birth. Date of birth however not in the source.[3] A concerning finding.
  • This article reads like an advert. "renowned" Puffery without references "the longest running cartoon satire magazine in South Asia)"
  • Looking at this section[4] makes the evidence even clearer. It reads like an advert. Refs do not support the content in question. Have moved to draft. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:17, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As I mentioned earlier, I told him to help releasing at least one photo of him as free licensed. He notified me after uploading some photo on his flicker channel in free licence and I just transferred that from Flickr via #flickr2commons. Date of birth and related informations were taken from a instagram post. So I couldn't site them properly. I can't remember much about the word "renowned". In most of the cases I follow other wikipedia pages within the same category and follow their sentence making. I think renowned word came from somewhere from the existing page. These can be not sourced claim but not paid editing. --Nahid Hossain (talk) 01:54, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James, Yunshui, Boing! said Zebedee, and GSS: Thanks for giving your time to explain all these issue with patience to me, I am really surprised. After reading the replies and other COI links on wikipedia I have learned to know that, I have done a mistake, I am confessing for my mistake about getting hired on UpWork for editing someone's page. Not only to the page, but also I have made a bad example for all my fellow editors and community I represent. I am ready to face anything comes up next from your decision here. Also, if I want to continue, what is the next step for me? --Nahid Hossain (talk) 09:41, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just two days back you said: believe me I haven't took a penny for wiki editing, that is against my morality and I thought you'll be fooling us for a few more days, but that was quick. GSS💬 12:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
With respect to next steps:
  • Agree not to do paid editing every again.
  • Disclose all the paid editing you have ever done.
  • List all the places were you have previously transacted paid editing.
  • Agree to never copy and past from sources every again.

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:07, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Doc James: Thank you Doc
  • I strongly agree to no paid editing ever again.
  • I have been hired on the name of wikipedia on a contract of UpWork.
  • I have edited Jeremy Reingold's wikipedia page, edited his commons upload and associated wikitada item and included some information on infobox.
  • I will check the copyright issue carefully on future editing. Specially copy editing from direct sources. -- Nahid Hossain (talk) 09:07, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
and how we are going to believe it since you were very confidently claiming that you never "took a penny for editing" despite you were asked by three different users and still not disclosing your COI with others. GSS💬 09:29, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What do you think GSS would be required to reduce the risk going forwards? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:40, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James: I am on wikipedia since 19 October 2010, You can check Global account information of my username NahidHossain, it's been almost 10 years running. My account is almost aged nearly like yours James. I have a good history of editing volunteerily, contributing as one of the known wikimedian on offline. At least I am not here for fun or some cheap business. This case, this time, it was different and I took it lightly as other help activities. I wouldn't intentionally do this kind of stupidity in future and it won't happen unintentionally after all these surveillances. Even I can be more conscious about all the copyright things and unsourced editing like I did on other pages. --Nahid Hossain (talk) 13:12, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
NahidHossain, according to statements you have made elsewhere online, you have been using Upwork for at least three years. How does that square with your claim above that you have only ever taken one paid Wikipedia job through the Upwork platform? Yunshui  22:50, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Yunshui: Maybe you've mistakenly read about another Nahid. I am on upwork since 2011, Now I am one of their top rated freelancer on Graphics Category. Not sure how you know UpWork, every contract is public there. It's not fair to share my link here, you can search me there as Nahid Hossain and check all my past contracts details. --Nahid Hossain (talk) 13:01, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James, @Yunshui & @GSS: as per my disclosers on 19 April 2020, can I have further proceeding to unblock my editing capability please? Nahid Hossain (talk) 06:35, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This bit "At the beginning of 2018 a Bangladeshi cartoonist under the pen name Morshed Mishu began transforming tragic and shocking images from wars into joyful art, hoping to show how beautiful the world would be without violence or war." was copied and pasted verbatim from the source. https://www.forbes.com/profile/morshed-abdulla-al/#45d4a1930269. The article Durgapur High School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The single cited source lists 30 secondary schools in Durgapur Upazila of Rajshahi District, none of them with this precise name. There are 12 Durgapur High Schools listed in the source, none of them located in Durgapur Upazila of Rajshahi District. The article contains no verifiable information, let alone evidence of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unblock Request for second time

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

NahidHossain (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am writing to request an unblock of my editing capabilities on Wikipedia. I understand that my account was blocked approximately three years ago due to concerns related to paid editing, lack of transparency, and potential conflicts of interest. I want to acknowledge the mistakes I made during that time and express my sincere apologies to the Wikipedia community. Since the block, I have taken the opportunity to reflect on my actions and the feedback provided by the community. Based on the conversations that transpired during the block period, I have taken the following steps to address the concerns raised: I recognize that I made errors in judgment, particularly in my involvement with paid editing on Upwork. I fully understand the importance of adhering to Wikipedia's guidelines and how my actions may have impacted the community's trust. I commit to being transparent in all my interactions on Wikipedia. I understand the necessity of disclosing conflicts of interest promptly and accurately. I have learned valuable lessons from this experience and am committed to applying these lessons to my future contributions to Wikipedia. I appreciate the guidance provided by the community during the block period and am eager to contribute in a manner that aligns with Wikipedia's principles. I kindly request the opportunity to demonstrate my commitment to responsible editing and to contribute positively to the Wikipedia community. If there are specific conditions or restrictions you recommend as part of the unblock, I am more than willing to comply. I look forward to the possibility of resuming my contributions.

Decline reason:

According to gptzero.me and to zerogpt.com, this unblock request appears to have been generated by an AI. This is so stunningly inappropriate that I'm at a loss for words. Even if it wasn't generated by an AI, and I'm very sure it was, this doesn't come close to addressing your deliberate attempt to lie to us. Yamla (talk) 13:01, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Thank you for responding to my request to unlock Yamla. I want to reassure you that the message was written by me, NahidHossain, and not by any AI tools. I understand how serious the concerns were that were brought up during my block time and how important it is for everything to be clear. Please forgive me if the request seemed different. The point was to truly say that I was aware of my past mistakes and promised to edit Wikipedia in a responsible way going forward.
You are welcome to make a new unblock request and a different admin will review it. I suggest being more clear about your earlier attempt to mislead us about paid editing. It would help to fully admit that you did try to mislead us, to give a complete list of clients and articles edited, and to agree to completely refrain from any such editing in the future, including on articles for which you have any conflict of interest at all, even if you weren't directly paid to edit them. --Yamla (talk) 13:13, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Yamla. I understand the need for clarity and transparency. I admit my previous statements were unclear and may have caused confusion. I have already said that I edited Jeremy Reingold's Wikipedia page, helped Commons upload, and the wikitada item that went with it as part of an UpWork contract. I understand the importance of refraining from any paid editing, even on articles with potential conflicts of interest. I am committed to following Wikipedia's guidelines rigorously.
Regarding the AI testing, I experimented with both gptzero.me and zerogpt.com. Zerogpt indicates that my text is human-written with 0% AI GPT involvement. Conversely, gptzero suggests AI writing. Interestingly, when testing your reply texts on both tools, they indicate AI involvement. Could you kindly provide clarification on this discrepancy?
Thank you for your understanding.
