Now I feel bad that I didn't chip in earlier - the food is really bad, and I wanted to like it. I've been in several times now, each time hoping and hoping it will be better but no. FYI, 'The Menu' agrees with you and others that it is icky, so it's even notorious in official print! H0n0r 20:44, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Oh yeah, "The Menu" agrees? Cool. My mom has that book. I'll have to check it out. I don't really want to bash Clair's to death, but, I don't know, I guess it's annoying because so many people think it's good. I have literally had nothing but bad food experiences there. I could recite each one in detail, but that's probably not necessary. I did make good use her bathroom, though, during my years of drinking cup after cup of Willoughby's coffee next door. (Going back some years now.) Oh, also, it can be really comic there when they come out with someone's food calling their name and they cannot find the person and then they go outside calling the name in that monotanous tone over and over. I used to imagine them wandering the streets of New Haven carrying that tray of food repeatedly calling out someone's first name. But, honestly, I haven't been there in years. I don't really live in New Haven anymore and I really cannot speak to whatever is happening at Clair's currently. NSpector 06:20, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
