NORTH CYPRUS (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am being continuously blocked by Greek Cypriots
Decline reason:
You were not blocked for your nationality, but for the abuse of multiple accounts. In addition, you appear to be at Wikipedia only to promote a specific point of view, so the block is necessary. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 17:10, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- It occurs to me that maybe you don't really understand the issue here. The reverts to your edits are not because of their merits or lack of merit. Using multiple accounts to avoid a block is simply not tolerated, and any edits made by those subsequent accounts are automatically reverted, regardless of their merits. It's not that someone is trying to suppress you or the content you are trying to add. It may be great content, in fact, but the quality doesn't matter at this point...you've run afoul of the rules. As at least one other editor has tried to explain to you, if you want to get past this, you need to go back to your original account's talk page, explain that you now understand the sockpuppet issue, apologize for violating Wikipedia policies, and promise to edit responsibly and in a neutral point-of-view manner. I can't promise that you'll be unblocked at that point, because you've very blatantly flaunted our rules, but there is such a thing as forgiveness and second chances when editors stand up and are willing to change their ways.
