something about the dawn

The dawn

  In fact, the drawn is created by a heavy metal band named Dreamtale from Finland. It was used as the opening song of their album released in 2002 named 《Beyond Reality》. But others say it was adapted by a famous film soundtrack. This is a Hollywood classic movie called 《The Rock》,and the composer is Harry Gregson Williams. 

Dreamtale was formed in 1999 by the guitarist Rami Keranen. It was said that Rami’s dream was always to establish his own band and it eventually came true.However ,the band then underwent several regime changes . Nowadays, it includes the lead singer Erkki Seppanen, keyboard player Turkka Vuorinen, guitarists Esa Orjatsalo and Rami himself, drummer Pete Rosenbom and bassist Pasi Ristolainen. Soon after, they released their first demo “Shadow of the Frozen Sun” and the second demo “Refuge From Reality” .Of course, after that , they became popular . In addition , finally they decided to sign with a well-known agency, “Spinefarm Records”. Shortly afterwards they finished recording their first album. And this is《Beyond Reality》. Obviously their musical style belongs to Progressive metal and melodic power metal . After that, Dreamtale released their next two recordings, in turn, 《Ocean’s heart》 and《Difference》.Certainly when it comes to power metal king in Finland, as far as sales and popularity are concerned, Stratovarius is a miracle that can't be surmounted .Yet as a new rising star of music, Dreamtale is the most pertinent without a doubt. The musical structure of the dawn is simple and clear . This is known as a typical postmodernism artistic technique. The song approximately can be divided into three parts. The first part established the tone of the whole song and determined its structure; the second part was aimed at creating a mysterious atmosphere. The key is to pass a nihilistic feel and rattle listeners’ mind . The last section changed the song into a picture. Or in other words , just make the song as poetic as poetry. In addition, putting these fragments togther contributes to frame structure , distinctive subject, vibrant colors and so on . At the same time , the listener is able to have his own unique feel through sharp contrast . That is another kind of interior monologue . In particular, the whole song is different from the traditional metal music. On the basis of the continuous and strong accompaniments , the musician made it have less chaos and rampage . As is known to all ,the original meaning of 《The drawn》 is a new day and a new hope . Later on in 2005 , it was used as a famous game background music, Warcraft III. Even some person made a MV by editing , since then , 《the dawn》 has enjoyed wide currency . In addition , it is called 《亡灵序曲》.
