would you mind helping out some concerned Romanians?
[edit]and one concerned Hungarian :) ....here? This is an article about a tragic massacre of a few hundred civilians, but the article title says "incident" instead of "massacre". We've been debating it for a few days and, with the exception of one grumpy komcsi, we have consensus to move the page. I tried, and it wouldn't let me--said an admin needs to do it. Think you can help?
Thanks in advance, K. Lásztocska 00:48, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Both the Romanian sources linked to at the bottom of the article use the word "masacrul", which is obviously "massacre." Here they are: [8] [9] (sorry they're in Romanian, haven't time to look for English or Hungarian ones right now.) Köszi szépen! K. Lásztocska 14:30, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Moving articles
[edit]Please never ever move articles without the proper procedure. --Irpen 18:36, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- It looks like consensus agrees with your initial judgment, and proper procedure has vindicated having moved the article in question. István 05:21, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed. Now that five days have elapsed since the poll started, may I formally request that you make the move? Thank you for your consideration. Biruitorul 15:58, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

TOLAS page deleted
[edit]NCurse, you deleted the TOLAS page sighting "It is blatant advertising for a company, product, group or service that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article".
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=delete&user=&page=TOLAS
TOLAS is no longer marketed, and therefore it is clearly not advertising. The wikipedia page was the only reference to TOLAS on the internet which explained the product and it's history (albiet a brief description). There are a handful of company's still using this software, but it can no longer be purchased.
Original article: TOLAS is a legacy ERP system originally licensed by by GSI Transcomm (later called ADP-GSI Logistics & Distribution / Adonix Transcomm) Written in VAX basic for HP/Compaq OpenVMS Alpha systems, TOLAS provides users with customer order fulfillment along with warehouse-management and inventory-management capabilities."
Note the use of term "legacy ERP system". Google definition: "A legacy system is an antiquated computer system or application program which continues to be used because the user (typically an organization) does not want to replace or redesign it".
You had no right to delete this page. If articles such as TOLAS are not welcome on Wikipedia then they are destined to fade into history. You have no right to judge what is or isnt important history. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Akagus (talk • contribs) 10:10, 14 April 2007 (UTC).

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 00:17, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Acmg-logo.PNG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Acmg-logo.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Acmg-logo.PNG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Acmg-logo.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Herpes zoster GA Part II
[edit]Hi. I've made your recommended edits (and then some) to the article. I think it reads better, and has few more citations. Also, if you could drop me a line on my talk page and give me your thoughts about POV editors who try to put in unsourced naturopathic or even homeopathic edits into medical articles. I consider most of that stuff to be very poorly referenced, and frankly pseudoscience. But I've not edited a medical article, so any ideas you may have will be helpful. I look forward to your comments on the GA nomination. Orangemarlin 06:04, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Following up on your response at WikiProject:Medicine
[edit]Hi,
I posted a request on WikiProject Medicine to which you kindly replied, as follows:
- First, you can create a new project if your proposal is approved by the Wikiproject Council. If you're interested in my opinion, I think that we shouldn't create new projects, as even this (actually the "mother") project lacks of editors. If you would like to improve selected articles, nominate them at the medical collaboration of the month.
I'm hoping that you may be able to guide me further.
I'm working with a group of co-collaborators on a topic area that is clearly expanding, and we are about to begin the process of breaking up a large article into an article series. We expect the topic area to expand considerably.
We are looking for an appropriate tool that we can use to coordinate the work that we are already doing. Ideally, we would very much like to affiliate with a WikiProject that has already blazed a trail that we can follow.
Someone on the WikiProject Council suggested that I try WikiProject:Medicine as we weren't getting a response on WikiProject:Neuroscience, which is the existing project best aligned with our topic (dyslexia, related disorders, and related topics). That project is very inactive, and we think we would benefit from working in context of a more active group.
If you don't think that creating a child WikiProject is appropriate, do you have a suggestion as to how our group might proceed?
Thanks much, Rosmoran 14:33, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

July 2007 GAC backlog elimination drive
[edit]A new elimination drive of the backlog at Wikipedia:Good article candidates will take place from the month of July through August 12, 2007. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the drive's talk page. Please help to eradicate the backlog to cut down on the waiting time for articles to be reviewed.
You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:37, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Please review the blocking of User:Anonimu
[edit]Szia Bertalan, it's been a long time. ;-)
Anonimu (talk · contribs) was recently blocked for a week following some edit warring on his own talk page about a banner he had put there. He was blocked for supposedly ignoring warnings and continuing to harass users, but as Anonimu said, he was never warned (not even informed of the previous ANI discussion.) Add to the confusion the fact that, as obnoxious as those banners on his user and talk pages were, they did not actually contain personal attacks, so there wasn't really any justification for removing them (and without any prior discussion, at that!) In short, I suspect this may have been an unfair and unjustified block. I'm asking you to review it because you have been uninvolved in the dispute thus far and can therefore be presumed to be a neutral and impartial arbitrator.

Request for articles in huwiki
[edit]Hi, my dear Pusztalakó :) I haven't seen you for a long time, I almost miss you :P Could you please write these articles in huwiki? (I don't mind if they'll be only stubs, but I'm working on the hu:Ehnaton article and it would be so nice if it had no red links; it'll go to peer review; I can manage the history-related red links, but there are some biology-related ones too and I can't translate them because they'll be full of errors then.) I would need these:
- Marfan-szindróma
- Fröhlich-szindróma
- endokrin
- hermafroditizmus
(Poor pharaoh was accused of having all these... :-|
I understand if you don't have time for these, but it would be so good to have at least a stub at these article titles. Thanks :)

Osteotome
[edit]Hallo NCurse, I found you among the contributors to the article on the osteotome on the English Wikipedia. The article is a stub and I am not sure if the definitions in the first lines are correct. The osteotome (German: Osteotom) that I know was invented by the German physician Bernhard Heine in 1830 and was used for opening the skull. In my Commons gallery you can see the pictures that I uploaded, I have some more on my computer. The usage of the instrument can be seen in the Bernhard Heine article. My question: Do you know anything about the other meanings and types of this instrument? Hans555talk 17:45, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
