Your Recent Edits

[edit]

Hi! First of all, I'd like to say welcome to enwiki! I have a suggestion for you and I hope you'll follow it. I help patrol for vandalism and it's a very tedious task that requires me to look at the recent changes on wikipedia. Every edit made on wikipedia shows up in the recent changes view and you have been making many edits to several pages. Making tiny edits one by one, like you did at janney coupler causes a flood of edits to show up in recent changes and interferes with the vandalism patrolling process. You can do most of the edits altogether and use the show preview button to see how your edits will change the page. Here's an image to show you what the button looks like:

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

Thanks! Happy editing! ~ Philipnelson99 (talk) 05:12, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, will try to control my OCD and limit my tiny edits. Thanks! NBTwain (talk) 23:08, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Janney coupler, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Please feel free to use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. We don't use backslashes instead of forwad slashes. Please read MOS:SLASH. David Biddulph (talk) 18:04, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, did not know about the "no backslashes". WIll do! NBTwain (talk) 23:05, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
