Hi, I'm fully aware of Uw-vandalism templates and as I submitted it you had beat me to it! Zarcadia (talk) 21:49, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, haha! I was looking through your contributions and I guess I didn't look hard enough. I also looked at my UTC clock and it seemed to be 4 hours since you reverted it so I went ahead and did it for you. Sorry about that! ---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 21:51, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- I had actually forgot I had set the thing to EST.---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 21:53, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Combining duplicate references

Is there a tool out there (kind of like Reflinks) that can combine duplicate references in an article using refname?---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 22:41, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- It might not be described as a "tool" per se, but I think if you sic the Wikipedia citation bot on an article using this page it will combine duplicate references, though I'm not sure. I'll leave the helpme open, though you might have better luck asking at the help desk where numerous people will see your question rather than the limited number who monitor the helpme category (most of whom also post at the help desk)--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:45, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
- It worked, thanks! ---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 03:52, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Moving Average
Hi Michael,
Thank you for taking some time out and looking at the simple change I had made. I felt the equation for Simple Moving Average in the original Wikipedia document was incorrect. I don't have any sort of citation for that. I had worked out couple of examples and I felt that the change was necessary. There are chances that I might be interpreting the equation wrong. If you want I can provide you with the examples that I had worked and later on you can decide whether the change is necessary or not.

- I'm not an expert on the subject, as I said before, I'm just a Wikipedian trying to do my job. I saw that you have an unexplained abrupt change, and I took it like vandalism. Thank you for being bold and I will quickly restore your edit to Wikipedia. (Note that if the edit was indeed incorrect, it may be reverted again by an expert on the subject). To conclude, I would like to advise you to explain why you changed what you did in the edit summary, I hope you like it here at Wikipedia and hope you have a wonderful day! --Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 22:51, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Sorry Michael, I confirmed the original equation with the expert and he told me that I was misinterpreting the the value of 'm' in the equation. Sorry for wasting your time. Gaurav Mehta Mehtagauravs (talk)—Preceding undated comment added 18:25, February 17, 2012.
- That's entirely fine! ---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 23:26, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
I have reverted it back.
