- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, Miniapolis 15:40, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Dwaun Warmack—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. MacAddct1984 (talk | contribs) 16:01, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Don Pyle, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Your edit added a grammatical error to the article. Please use the preview button to review changes before saving them. Funnyfarmofdoom (talk to me) 14:16, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Bridget Masinga, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Materialscientist (talk) 07:55, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

- @Myuniqueniche With reference to your question at my talk page. On Wikipedia many editors like me need copy edit support time to time, so you are welcome!
- Frankly I do not know specifically what does 'level 3 warning' specifically stands for and you can ask @Materialscientist themselves or at WP:Teahouse too.
- But in general sense they seem to expect you to take their points seriously enough.
- My advice
- 1) Slow down** editing in article space and read various guideline, policy and WP:Manual of Style pages.
- Mean while for some time you can copy edit in draft namespace too there you shall have little comfort zone un til you get acquainted with various nuances of Wikipedia policies
- 2) You seem to be interested in copy editing then visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors
- 3) @ Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests you can observe how other experienced copy editors are copy editing in various articles. (You can study from archives too.)
- 4) @ WT:GOCE I will put a request to copy editors to take over active mentorship from me since they may help you better.
- I am not judging your editing as too fast or some thing but since there seems to be entanglements coming up before you, hence preferring to prioritizing understanding Wikipedia conventions and practices shall be mutually benefiting in your editing and the Wikipedia project.
- With you happy editing and cheers Bookku (talk) 10:44, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

- @Myuniqueniche @Bookku The problem was this edit where you changed the cardinal number to a ordinal which in the Manual of Style is here. Also born is a Verb and should not be capitalised. Nobody (talk) 13:09, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

Revised advice
[edit]@Myuniqueniche Discussion with copy editors @ WT:GOCE indicates that you are not fluent enough in English language** to indulge grammar related correction and you need more time to go through various guidelines and policies.
- For grammar related edits on English Wikipedia usually UK or USA near-native fluency is considered most ideal for copy editing purposes. It's not that English Wikipedia totally stops others from editing English Wikipedia.
- Still if other editors are not comfortable with your grammar corrections then you avoid is better. Where you find mistakes you can use copy edit related templates so other copy editors will confirm and correct in due course. Or make a mention on the talk pages.
- There are Wikipedias in many other languages. You can choose Wikipedia in a language in which you are fluent from List of Wikipedias
- Alternatively you can continue editing in Draft namespace/ your own sandbox and suggesting edits on talk pages until you get more practiced in Wikipedia.
- User:Miniapolis has placed a Welcome template at the top of your talk page, those help links in the welcome message too will help you.

- Thank you so much for your help and support. I agree with you that I have a little knowledge about Wikipedia guidelines and policies. I shall go through it. As far as fluency is concerned, I'm a post graduate in english literature and teaching english to college students. I possess standard knowledge of english grammar.
