A tag has been placed on Patrick Cotter O'Brien, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. FirefoxMan 22:07, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

De sitter space

[edit]

Interesting that Levi-Civita also discovered de Sitter space. Do you know in which article? And does it have an English translation?

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:McLean.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:McLean.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:55, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea what this bot is referring to. I have not uploaded any images anywhere on Wikipedia.Mytg8 (talk) 04:42, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Exponential towers

[edit]

Thanks for the edit to 1 E19 s. I switched the exponential towers to math mode (rather than using HTML superscripts) and removed the extra lines. How does it display in your browser now? (My browser displays the exponential towers without problem no matter what the format, so I can't test myself.) —Alex (ASHill | talk | contribs) 14:19, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non Free Files in your User Space

[edit]

Hey there Mytg8, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some files that I found on User:Mytg8/Coastal Hercules class Supertankers. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:06, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that Wikipedia talk pages are not discussion forums. Interesting as the topic you added may be, it doesn't really help to improve the quality of the article, and questions like that should be asked at the WP:Reference desk. Thank you. Jhbuk (talk) 21:16, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this page have the knock nevis article in it; I see that the infobox is correct for the Esso class. Daniel Christensen (talk) 22:48, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just using the KN article for a template for the new article. Obviously I'm not finished with it yet.Mytg8 (talk) 13:25, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
