Dear Sir, I had totally forgotten that I have this account on my name (you certainly know better than I when it was created, and it has been standing still). I did not write down its password, and when I went to search for a wikipedia account on my list of sites & passwords (in order to build a page for Ms. Davidoff), I found only the Ensemble's account (which has a complicated password). The account in my name has a simple one, so after I read in your message that it exists, I figured out that its password should be an old one I used in the past for many things!

So, in first place, a thousand excuses for the problem I involuntarily created. Trying to avoid it, I had written a personal letter to wikipedia, stating who I am, and my connection to the page. You will find out that I have been inactive most of the time, and in fact I just made the effort to make a page because I thought that Ms. Davidoff now at age 91 deserves to have this kind of recognition.

Now, is it possible, please, to join the two accounts (Ensemble PHOENIX and Myrna Herzog) under my name?

Second question: am I allowed to make a wikipedia page for Ensemble PHOENIX? I think I had created an account on its name with this purpose on mind. As I am usually terribly busy playing, conducting, writing articles, I never actually found the time to do it.

Third, this was the first time I really created something on wikipedia, and I found it difficult to understand how it works, where to find your messages and how to relate to them. I apologise for the work I certainly gave you. It took a time, for instance, to understand that I have to report every correction, and also only now I found out that signing is the four tildas. As I wish to complete Ms. Davidoff page, and I wish to insert the articles that prove my assertions (for instance, that she is considered a pioneer - I have two sources, one being Early Music America), I APOLOGISE IN ADVANCE for any confusion I will make unwillingly. Please be sure that there is no intent of deception, but just the shortcomings of a musician whose computer skills are limited.

Fourth question, I have old photos of Davidoff (dated 35 years old or older). I understood I need to upload them to commons wikipedia. Under which category should I do it? Public domain?

Hello Dr. Herzog, and thank you for your explanation of what happened. I'm quite convinced that your intentions were good, but you unintentionally broke some of Wikipedia's rules.
I'm am not sure how you communicated with Wikipedia in the past about your connection to Ensemble Phoenix, or what sort of response you received, if any. However, making a statement on your user page (User:Myrna Herzog) will certainly help.
The Ensemble account was blocked for a violation of Wikipedia's username policy, which forbids accounts from representing organizations. It is unfortunate that it was permitted to operate as long as it did, because it was in violation of this policy from the start. Likely nobody noticed this until just recently. I'm sorry but it is not possible to merge accounts on English Wikipedia; however the Ensemble account's contributions are still viewable in the account's edit history. In the future, please use only this account, as using multiple accounts (referred to as "sockpuppetry") is not permitted in most cases.
As to your question about creating an article for Ensemble Phoenix... I would highly discourage you from doing so. If you can review Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide, you will see why we discourage editors from writing about topics where they have a personal or professional connection. It isn't prohibited outright, but you will find it difficult to adhere to the required neutral point of view due to your proximity to the subject. If you still wish to try, I would advise that you use the article wizard, where your draft article can be submitted for review.
For that same reason, I would also discourage you from making edits to the article about you, apart from removing obvious vandalism or libellous content. Otherwise I would advise that you make requests on the article's talk page for changes. Using the {{request edit}} tag will attract the attention of uninvolved editors to review your changes.
For the photos of Ms. Davidoff, those should be uploaded at Wikimedia Commons. In most cases, the legal rights to images lie with the photographer and not the subject, so please ensure that the creator of the work has agreed in writing to release these works under the terms of the Creative Commons license on the site. This means the photo is being released for free copying, re-use and adaptation by anyone, even for commercial purposes.

Thank you very much for your explanation. I won't make a page for my ensemble, too many problems... I also do not mind if you shut the ensemble's account, which as you can see, I did not use much all this time. But, please, may I finish Ms. Davidoff's page, with my own account, on my name? All talk pages - user talk and article talk - are public. Discussions about article content should be in public forums, for the benefit of all users.
Since you have a connection to Ms. Davidoff, I would advise that you post your suggested changes at Talk:Judith Davidoff by using the {{request edit}} template. This will alert other users to your request and allow them to review the changes you've asked for. I am ashamed to confess that it all looks terribly complicated.

Here's an idea you could try, if you have a lot of content. Post your content to your sandbox (User:Myrna Herzog/sandbox), then make the edit request I suggested above on the article talk page (Talk:Judith Davidoff) and just include a link to your sandbox. I will try it. My mistake was to think that this worked like my site, that I may add info little by little, so I uploaded before I completed the article (for fear of losing the work already done while I had lunch!). So I will do that, will put the full article on my sandbox and try to do the other steps. Thank you so much. And how about the photo? I am not sure that Davidoff will recall who took this photo after at least 35 years! What is the best course of action, to be able to upload it to Commons? Hi, this is just to remind you to find out what is the policy regarding photos that are 30 years old or more. Ms. Davidoff does not remember the name of the photographer, who gave it to her.
