Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:28, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Zilog head notices and page blanking

Hi there. While I obviously share your view that the Zilog head article be deleted, you should not add more notices proposing deletion or blank the page. The article is trash, but it's not a direct attack page as you seemed to imply. I'd advise you just wait for the AfD to run its course, since it will be deleted soon enough, judging by the general consensus, as well as Georgiegibbon's disruptive and immature behaviour. Thanks. KaySL (talk) 14:05, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, disregard the above; the article was speedy deleted. If you're planning on sticking around on Wikipedia, though, it's useful to be aware of the usual process for things such as deletion. I notice you added two deletion templates to the page (one for proposed non-controversial deletion, and one for speedy deletion), when there was already the AfD on the article active. It's generally a good idea only to use one, and not to add another if there's already one present. Also, you blanked the page, saying that it was a courtesy blanking - we only do this if the original article creator implicitly or explicitly requests it. Sorry if the above is incomprehensible or sounds like I'm chewing you out, it's not the intent! If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my Talk Page. Sockpuppeting investigation

Hi again, I just thought I'd inform you that you are being investigated as part of the sock-puppeting case you originally opened against GEORGIEGIBBONS. Since nobody informed you, I thought I'd take it upon myself to. KaySL (talk) 16:59, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Clumsyorchid". The reason given for Clumsyorchid's block is: "Disruptive editing".

Decline reason: Now directly blocked along with a couple more accounts on that IP. --jpgordon::==( o ) 23:18, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As I stated in that investigation, GEORGIEGIBBONS is using my IP address. It is legally my IP, not his.

Request reason:

Seeing as my neighbor, Georgie Gibbons used my IP to get me blocked, is there any chance of an unblock now I have a secure IP that he can't access? I still work for the WP Commons but you can't make articles

Decline reason:

From jpgordon's message, it appears that you are GeorgieGibbons. TNXMan 23:05, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Jpgordan went by the CU in good faith as GEORGIEGIBBONS stole my IP address but I feel I was blocked as of collateral damage due to G.Gs behavior. I haven't socked for a very long time nor have I returned and that page does say you may possibly return for no socking or vandalism.

Decline reason:

If, as you say, your IP address is a fixed address, I have a concern that you have been unable to notice a CAT5 network cable snaking from your house to your neighbour's home. In order to protect Wikipedia, we'll have to ask you to keep a good eye on neighbours with LAN cables. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:25, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I meant that he had used my wireless router, not my LAN cables

Decline reason:

Same problem, even worse. Unsecured wireless networks allow anyone to use your ISP connection: this could include downloading illegal images, stealing music, or editing an encyclopedia. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 14:27, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Can I have my account back if I agree to constructive edits only and to report any vandals/socks, GEORGIEGIBBONS or not?

Decline reason:

Per comment below and failure to address the reason for the block. I get the feeling we're being played here, so I'm revoking talk-page access after four of these requests all along the same theme. Future unblock requests will have to be made by email to the unblock list. — Daniel Case (talk) 14:23, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Let me ask this question: does it resolve the current problem? We verified sockpuppetry - you say it's because you have an unsecured wireless network. In the name of WP:AGF, is the problem actually fixed? The agreement above of course goes without saying - this is an encyclopedia, and all editors are required to make only constructive edits, etc. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:34, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
