File:Hilperton church.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Hilperton church.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. Somerset pics

[edit]

Hi, from the look of my watchlist you seem to uploading lots of nice photos to Somerset villages. Would you be king enough to take a look at Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Somerset and see if you have any pics for any of those articles which don't have one at present?— Rod talk 21:41, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I'm afraid his is a copyvio. While the map may have been created in 1939 the map won't enter the public domain untill the last author has been dead for 70 years and realistically at least one of the authors will have survived beyond 1940.©Geni 14:27, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edits to Bradford on Tone. Could you add citations for the extra information about the church? I have removed all the links to years per WP:YEARLINK. Also as you seem to edit quite a few Somerset articles would you be interested in joining the Somerset WikiProject?— Rod talk 08:15, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Commons

[edit]

Thank you for uploading free images/media such as File:St Mary the Virgin, Whaddon, Wiltshire.jpg to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view previous uploads by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'file' namespace from the drop down box (or see [1]). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!. Multichill (talk) 15:06, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I don't suppose you happen to know where this was taken. Judging by the fact I can see two sets of windscreen wipers I'm thinking it was on the move, perhaps a Victoria service from Canterbury? -mattbuck (Talk) 18:07, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid this image is not of a first class compartment interior, so I've removed it from the "Corridor First" page. Possibly it was one of the three second class compartments in a Corridor Composite? Otherwise, it's from a Mk1 BSK or SK.

Here's an example of a first class compartment interior (not mine so can't add to article): http://www.e-v-r.com/images/stocklist/15849_21.jpg

Might be an idea to rename the file as otherwise it may confuse people in the future.

File permission problem with File:EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg passport stamps.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg passport stamps.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:17, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ashdod Ad Halom Railway Station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gaza. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. File source problem with File:RussianPassport.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:RussianPassport.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, BOT-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate your file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source/license for File:Israel Post 1968.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Israel Post 1968.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 15:00, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ARBPIA

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

There is a topic-wide 1-revert rule. You've already made 2 reverts, please do not continue doing so. nableezy - 15:02, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
