Testimonials
[edit]Hi - I removed the testimonial section on the breast ironing article. The reason for this is that testimonial sections pose several issues. One is that the testimonial will really only be true for the specific person making the statement. They may say things that another person would also say, but it's also likely that their experience will be unique to them in ways that may be atypical for others who have experienced breast ironing. These testimonials will almost always lack the context that is needed to put their experiences in a broader scope, to show which - if any - of their experiences are common ones. There's also that the testimonial puts a lot of undue weight on the experiences of a single person and there could be questions as to why the testimonial of one person was chosen over another. These testimonials were in a journal article, but they'd have to be very widely repeated in reliable sources in order to really justify putting so much weight on specific, individual accounts.
In cases like this it's better to write something more generally, akin to how the article is currently written rather than highlighting specific people. You could use it in a more general sense such as stating "people who have experienced breast ironing have reported that it was done by female family members such as their mother or grandmother" and things along those lines, however.
