Request for adminship
[edit]Hi, I noticed you have put forward a request for adminship, however I suggest you withdraw. It's nothing personal and I don't want to offend you, but you have less than 100 edits, many of them to your userpage and the sandbox. Sure there's nothing wrong with this, but being an admin means you have the power to block people and delete pages and because you are so new, how do people know whether you can be trusted? I myself wouldn't go for adminship because I don't think I'm ready. If you want to become an admin, I advise you take part in some activities that would be precursors to admin priveliges such as deletion discussions and cleaning up vandalism. That way you will know when to block or delete and with your increased participation, people will be able to see that you are trustworthy. Have a look at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Stemonitis and what people have said about him, he looks like he will become an admin. You may also want to try an Editor review where other editors will review you and give you advice for areas of improvement for becoming an admin. Again, it's nothing personal and I hope I haven't discouraged you, of course you can go through with the RfA (it will probably lead to more users providing advice) but I strongly suggest you withdraw. If you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page. James086Talk | Contribs 13:09, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks but no thanks! Mwx10 17:11, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- It appears that User:Fartman5 has no other edits than nominating you for adminship. Are you familiar with WP:SOCK, and the possible consequences of violating it? John Broughton | Talk 22:21, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Getting involved!
[edit]If you want to be an admin someday, you need to get involved in Wikipedia! Revert things like vandalism. Participate in Articles for deletion discussions. See if you can help people with dispute resolution or Wikipedia help, or adding suggestions when people need admins (thus proving that you can think like one).
I understand that you have good intentions. However, you'll need actions to back those up. If you prove that you can help Wikipedia in the small things, the community may allow you to help Wikipedia in the bigger things. (Welcome to the meritocracy.) Gracenotes T § 03:25, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]Email unblock-en-l from your real email address (and not an anonymous free webmail one) and we'll talk about why your original Chessmaster8x was blocked and then we'll decide if you should be unblocked. Nominating yourself for administrator, trying to falsify an unblocked notice and handing out fake/unwarranted vandalism warnings while violating the Wikipedia:Sock puppetry policy is disruptive and will not be tolerated. -- Netsnipe ► 04:01, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
