historical fact: Did you know that the Great Emu War was a real event in Australia? In 1932, the Australian government deployed soldiers armed with two Lewis machine guns and 10,000 rounds of ammunition to combat an overpopulation of emus in Western Australia. Despite their efforts, the emus proved elusive, and the government ultimately declared the emus the victors of the war, as very few were actually killed.
