Re: Lokah deletion?
[edit]Re your message: None of the provided links establish the group's notability. The first is a user contributed review site, the second and third just confirms the party was held, only the fourth provides a little towards notability, but is only an interview, not coverage by a major news source. If you disagree with my deletion, you are welcome to list it at Wikipedia:Deletion review. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:53, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Re your message: As noted in the AfD, notability with a single collaboration is not inherited. If you can find coverage of the band from a major news source, that would help establish the group's notability. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:01, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Re your message: Another fan site reporting on the same party still does not make the band notable per my previous messages, especially when the fan sites are about Sting, not the band itself.
- It is not my duty to listen to the band's music. Your claim of another moderator apologizing to you (of which I can find no evidence of), does not factor into my decision. It also makes me question your use of multiple accounts as your account is fairly new as you have made no edits besides your recreation of the article and your discussion with me. Multiple, apparently single use accounts have taken an interest in the group, which is unusual.
- You continue to claim that the band is of "great significance", but have yet to provide a reliable source to back up that claim. That is what you need, not continued proclamations that they are notable, that the lack of an article is a "disgrace", nor additional messages on my talk page. As I stated to you before, you have two options available to you to have the article remain on Wikipedia: provide citations that back up your claims of notability or request a review of the deletion at Deletion Review. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:59, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
