Hi, Murry1975, thanks for reverting. That was a paste of a warning Favonian had given User:Spoonplate. It's funny how often that happens with the newbies — not sure if it's retaliation or what. Usually it's done a little more smartly, such as, without including F's own sig in the copypaste. ;-) I've told them it was silly. Bishonen | talk 21:43, 18 January 2015 (UTC).
- @Bishonen: Oh, never underestimate the creativeness of a newbie troll. The links to the MoS and welcome page had been modified most imaginatively. :) Favonian (talk) 22:02, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ha! I never looked at the links! It's amazing I'm still so naive after ten years' experience of trolls. You know, all the edits are disruptive except possibly the first one, back in March. Look at the messaround with Rosalynn Carter's photo. I've indeffed. Bishonen | talk 23:03, 18 January 2015 (UTC).
- Bless ya! I contemplated the Rosalynn situation, but then again a first lady must be used to having her picture taken next to all sorts of riff-raff. ;) Good riddance to the spoon. Favonian (talk) 23:09, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Murry1975.
I want to reassure you on your talkpage, which I see as a more personal way of conversation, that my issue with your restore of the paragraph in question is only procedural. I think you made the wrong decision in implementing Wikipedia guidelines on dispute resolution. I do not want to escalate this issue at this stage, so I'd like to ask you to read the argument I presented once more, not as to the content of the paragraph, but whether resting it in its entirety after one hour of discussion and a total of 3 editors expressing their opinions was the right thing to do. If you tell me that you do think you made the right call, then I will ask at a formal dispute resolution channel if it is perhaps me who has misunderstood these guidelines. If you can live with restoring the consensus version till such time as a firmer consensus on the content issue has been established, then we will all end up happy. [edit]Hmmm... Editing pages does not seem to be a straightforward way to communicate, but it does seem to make sense when it comes to preserving correspondence. That said, what about my edit of SHARE seemed to suggest that it was practice? I do not see anywhere in the article where the acronym is explained, which is why I inserted it.

Hi Murry, Re Big Jim Starritt
[edit]I served under him at West End Central, on and off for sixteen years, and anybody who served under him would tell you the same. As Deputy Commissioner(2IC of The Metropolitan Police) he visited the communications room at the station on one occasion and asked me in a serious but tongue in cheek tone "I hear somebody is usurping my name, is this so?" I don't need a citation, but if you wait long enough I'm sure some other "C" Div. Vet. will back me up, or almost any ex-met. officer from that era. Truly, word had reached him that there was a sergeant on the shift who also rejoiced in the nickname "Big Jim"
Regarding copyrights

Killua Castle
[edit]I see you've been editing Killua Castle so I thought I'd ask you something. You'll see I just changed "c. 1780" to "in about 1780". I don't like the use of c. (circa) with a year in the lead if it can be avoided. I used "in about" rather than "was built around 1780" because I've seen editors change "around" to "about". Americans would probably say "was built around 1780" but I don't know if that is used in the UK. If you prefer "about" to "around", do you think the "in" is needed? Corinne (talk) 20:15, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- I dont know whats used in the UK either, here we use both :) If you want to shore your bets use a mixed bag around about 1780. No seriously Corinne either would be fine usage, as far as my grammar goes, you have done a good job of it so far. Murry1975 (talk) 22:17, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Please explain why you reverted yesterday's edit on the man utd - liverpool rivalry page? One source clearly didn't corroborate the information it was used to defend and the other refered to the information but also featured a different count that contrasted that information and defended the opposite claim, thus making it unreliable as a piece of evidence for one claim over the other as it portrayed both. There was no reason to remove this at all. Davefelmer (talk) 15:15, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]You have breached the Three Revert Rule on the above article. I am going to give you a chance to self revert both elements or I will have to report your aggressive behavior. --Donniediamond (talk) 11:42, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- That's nice of you. But the Belfast Spider was never associated with the Tricolour, he left when Ireland was in the UK. Secondly if you look up Boxrec records here search Canada, welterweight and all boxers, McLarnin is top. I have revert 3 times on McLarnin and once on Rinty. So i have now to revert to your POV on one of these, the Canadian or the British one! Murry1975 (talk) 11:51, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- You really coming across as an aggressive editor. Please use a more collegiate approach and you will find editors are much happier to work with you and all can have an easier life and more productive editing. Removing information because you don't agree with it is also poor practice. You should add a fact tag. That will ensure a more productive path is trodden than edit warring. Here is a very recent article from a British newspaper that refers to McLarnin as Irish. Is that acceptable to you or do you consider The Telegraph to have an anti British bias? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxing/11300061/Andy-Lee-victorious-after-landing-historic-blow-against-Matt-Korobov-to-win-WBO-middleweight-title.html --Donniediamond (talk) 12:02, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

- He was never associated with the tricolour, it is a simple as that. He never was associated with the state , it, again is as simple as that. Now if you dont mind, don't post here again, I have a notice up top. Murry1975 (talk) 12:16, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- Also, you have yet to self revert your edit with regards McLarnin on the above page. Please do so now as you are in breach of the three revert rule and I would rather you self reverted than have to report the matter. --Donniediamond (talk) 12:19, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
